if you look back at that cleveland game, it really wasn't very monstrous. 2 tds 1 int 330 yards. nothing special.

Yeah, nothing special for a rookie making his first NFL start on the road.

patrick ramsey had 2tds, and 270 yards against tennesse on the road. how'd that work out?

or jason campbells 2 TD and 93 rating in his first showing, again, future HoFer, right?

1 okay game against a terrible team is just that, an okay game. he didn't throw for 400 or 5 tds or whatever. he was fine. want to talk about last year's 52% completion rating? wouldn't that be more indicative than his first game when no one had tape on him?

KC is an average backup qb. If he were the starter people would be clamoring to draft a new one.
Nobody is going to trade for him, he's not worth the 4th rounder the skins gave up.

Looks like the Captain Kirk bandwagon has cleared out. Not that I'm a huge fan of him myself after the way he played last year, but can anyone tell what the chances are that we get either a 4th rounder or higher, or alternately an impact player, in a trade for him? It sounds like right now we'd be lucky if someone gave up a 5th rounder for him.

Imo that is what he is worth, but i sure hope some GM is higher on him than i am. I have zero problem with him being our backup. I will say that I think almost any qb would have looked like crap in that circus sideshow of a team last year, especially one coming in off the bench into a defeated heartless team with one career start under his belt.

Yeah he did but Collins had also been in the offense longer too. I honestly feel bad for JC. I mean the guy had to learn a new offense every year his entire career, never had the opportunity to learn and grow with one coach. Not saying he ever would have been a top QB, but he had ZERO chance here. Anyhow, always liked JC. Seems like a real good dude who never openly said anything bad about the organization when he certainly could have. Just a class act.A new offense every year? Didn't Campbell have the Al Saunders/Joe Gibbs offense for two years (2006-7), and Jim Zorn two years (2008-9)?

Zero chance? Weren't the Redskins a playoff capable team in 2007 (when Collins stepped in), and a team that ran the ball down opponents throat in 2008, until teams saw they could stack the box against us?

I seem to remember JC always learning a new offense. Didnt he go through that at Auburn too?

Gibbs and Saunders did not really have the same offense.

To me it's impossible for anyone to judge a guy off of 4 starts. He's done a lot of good things in those starts. Actually he almost had 400 against Atl. But he's shown a quick release, good footwork, and good deep ball. He's also done some things ( throw late and behind) that I would expect from a young QB. I do think the organization (and the fans) are assuming Griffin is going to be a great QB. I'm just not sold on that yet.

1. Griffin needs to show he can protect himself and stop playing reckless.
2. Show he can run a pro offense and stop doing the back peddle when his first read is covered
3. Show that his knees can hold up for a full season

If Cousins is traded, which I would expect to happen, then McCoy is the back-up. That's not good enough for a team that has high expectations.

So, would learning a new offense be a valid excuse for RGIII, according to you guys, if he doesn't perform well this season? My guess is "No".

My recollection of JC was that he could look good at times between the 20's but he was not good in the Red Zone or in converting third down plays.

I don't understand why this argument about JC goes on and on. There ought to be a statute of limitations on it. If the guy could play, wouldn't he be a starter somewhere by now? Again, he is a Coach Killer.
