I completely agree with you.
The funny thing is that if Cousins was in this draft based off his college career there would be serious talk about him being the first QB taken, is that an indictment on this class? Yes, yes it is.

RG3 is coming off a bad year with two major knee operations. I wouldn't get rid of a quality young back up for a 3rd or 4th rounder. What if RG3 twists his knee in training camp? Then what? Is that 3rd or 4th rounder going to be worth it? If Clev offers a proven player then I'd listen.
I'm a bit concerned about trading Cousins. I want to make sure that RG3 is back to true form and adapts well to Gruden's offense. A decent backup QB is hard to find these days, I don't know if McCoy would be just as good as Cousins and a better backup for Robert....

Griffin is going to be fine.
Yeah everyone said that last year too. Granted he's got his off season so that obviously helps, but I still need to see it before I deal Cousins.

Based on how average Cousins looked last year, if someone wants him for a 3rd rounder or better you'd have to be retarded to not take that deal and run.
We've been all in with RG3 since the trade. No sense in turning back now.

Trade KC to the Rams for three #1's and a #2. That'd even things out. :silly:

If griffin fails the redskins have to rebuild again. Full stop.
It's a worthy gamble and if you can trade cousins to help griffin's chances you do it at this point. Full stop.

That's taking it way, way too far. Kirk Cousins lasted to the top of the 4th round in 2012 for several reasons, and only one of which was that it was a great QB class. He had a big turnover problem in college, had a so-so arm, and was projected as a game-manager in the NFL. Without his great intangibles and a coach that fell in love with his game, he likely would've lasted much longer, maybe as late as late 5th/early 6th. In this draft, it's not a stretch to suggest that he would be taken in the 3rd or thereabouts, but to say he would be competing with the likes of Johnny Manziel and Teddy Bridgewater as the top QB available is, in my opinion, ludicrous.

No, no it's not, the 2012 QB class was the deepest since 83, this class has no separation from the guys who are "lock" 1st rounders to the guys who are mid to late 3rd rounders. If KC was in this draft there would be tqalk about him being the first QB taken. Would be be? Who knows, but to dismiss that notion based off of what round he went in in his class is a little ignorant.
If they did the 2012 draft over again I don't think KC lasts until the 4th rd.

OK, then it's settled; we'll trade him to Cleveland for the 4th pick of the third round. That's fair.
