I really think that during the draft or just before it, we will get a second and a 4th - 6th for Cousins.

I could see getting a 3rd and a 4th, but I just think that too many teams need a quarterback, and this guy has arm strength, pocket presence, is mobile, has poise, and is a confirmed hard worker.

when do we trade Cousins? Draft or before?

We don't.

All teams should have a good backup. We especially need one with Griffin's playing style.

We'd be foolish to get rid of Cousins.

Want us to be the Chicago Bears, Detroit Lions or Green Bay Packers who swirl down the toilet when their starter misses a game?

Mcown is way better than Cousins.

1. RG3 don't need people such as yourself wanting Cousins to get his "chance" at RG3's expense. We need to develope our starter, Cousins needs playing time to develop as well. One stays one goes. RG3 = three number one draft picks, so he stays.

2. Cousins has been a class act yet Schefter finds a way to take a jab a RG3 via Cousins "cute puppy qualities". Tebow is a class act but the media uses him to cause trouble. Same with Cousins. Sally Jenkins future quote "RG3 threw an interception why is Cousins on the sideline?". We don't need that . Since Cousins is such a class act I want him to have his "opportunity". RG3 is the starter no opportunity here.

3. I don't hate Cousins the person. I hate Cousins the quarterback. UGGGHHH super ugly!

4. Are you Sally Jenkins boy toy?

Don't know how long you have been following the NFL, but the back up quarterback is usually hugely popular when the starter is struggling even if that back up hasn't played well before when given a chance. Cousins isn't the problem, change him out and if Griffin struggles again people will be calling for whomever took Cousins place.

If we had JJ Watt on our team would you keep Ryan Kerrigan as a back up because he "has value as a back up"?
Hell no ....you trade his narrow ass to get bodies for a position that doesn't have a real starter.
We need more draft picks....period.
I don't know about you guys but I'm planning on Griffin playing all 16 games next year.

Mcown is way better than Cousins.

He was a journeyman who failed to catch on with the Cardinals, Raiders, Lions and Panthers before hitting the jackpot throwing to Marshall/Jeffery/Bennett and handing off to Matt Forte.

Cousins and most other backups would thrive with those weapons too.

McCown had a great run this season but if some other team goes after him based on this season, they're going to be disappointed after they end up with another Matt Flynn.

The difference is that the QB is the most important position on the field and if the starter goes down a good back up is a must, not so much with a DE.

I'm glad you are planning on RG3 playing all 16 games but a wise mand once told me to expect the best but plan for the worst. RG3 not playing in all 16 games might not be the worst case scenario (him not being able to run the offense is) and the Skins need to expect the best but plan for the worst.

No ....the difference is that we are rebuilding big time and we are short on picks and need to make that up as soon as possible.

I honestly don't see anything great in Cousins. To me it seems like a lot of hype but if some one wants to give us a 2nd rounder for his hype hooray.

If we ever trade Cousins, it will be for 2nd round pick.
