Lavauo is $3 million for 2014, and if I had to venture a guess, Roberts will come in at exactly the same cap figure.
Redskins 2014 Salary Cap StatusGTripp0012 03-12-2014, 11:53 AM Lavauo is $3 million for 2014, and if I had to venture a guess, Roberts will come in at exactly the same cap figure. CRedskinsRule 03-12-2014, 12:53 PM overthecap has A Roberts at 1.25 base, 1.0 prorated bonus, for a 2.25M cap hit. I like him, I like the price. Hope he pans out. They have Hayward as an 855K cap hit. Like GTripp said 3.0 for the guard they still don't have Riley's on there yet though, or I missed it. Schneed10 03-12-2014, 01:17 PM Updated now that more info is available: Space entering Free Agency: $21.1M Andre Roberts: ($2.25M) Santana Moss: ($1.5M) assumed Adam Hayward: ($1.0M) Shawn Lauvao: ($3.0M) Perry Riley: ($3.5M) assumed Five Players Bumped from Top 51: $2.5M Current Estimated Cap Space: $12.4M I was indeed fairly conservative on Andre Roberts it appears. They backloaded that more than I anticipated. Estimated current cap space is $12.4M CRedskinsRule 03-12-2014, 03:03 PM according to Keim, Riley was a $3 million cap hit. *)&#&# loser's tax, coulda had him for 1. Washington Redskins contract breakdowns - ESPN (http://espn.go.com/blog/washington-redskins/post/_/id/6047/redskins-contract-breakdowns) Schneed10 03-12-2014, 03:10 PM according to Keim, Riley was a $3 million cap hit. *)&#&# loser's tax, coulda had him for 1. I just saw that too. Space entering Free Agency: $21.1M Andre Roberts: ($2.25M) Santana Moss: ($1.5M) assumed Adam Hayward: ($1.0M) Shawn Lauvao: ($3.0M) Perry Riley: ($3.0M) Five Players Bumped from Top 51: $2.5M Current Estimated Cap Space: $12.9M Schneed10 03-12-2014, 03:41 PM And checking Moss's deal, it was actually a vet minimum situation. Still a favorite Warpathism for me. Space entering Free Agency: $21.1M Andre Roberts: ($2.25M) Santana Moss: ($0.6M) Adam Hayward: ($1.0M) Shawn Lauvao: ($3.0M) Perry Riley: ($3.0M) Bruce Campbell: ($1.0M) Assumed Six Players Bumped from Top 51: $3.0M Current Estimated Cap Space: $13.3M Schneed10 03-12-2014, 04:00 PM Bruce Campbell's deal is pretty close to vet min. Also, the NFL announced the Redskins' starting point entering Free Agency was $18.6M in space, not the $21.1M that most of the internet thought would be the case. Space entering Free Agency: $18.6M Andre Roberts: ($2.25M) Santana Moss: ($0.6M) Adam Hayward: ($1.0M) Shawn Lauvao: ($3.0M) Perry Riley: ($3.0M) Bruce Campbell: ($0.7M) Six Players Bumped from Top 51: $3.0M Current Estimated Cap Space: $11.1M This should be considered highly accurate at this point, with contract details of the six players all known. The Washington Post is reporting $8M in space; that's because they're forgetting to add back the space for the six players bumped out of the top 51. KI Skins Fan 03-15-2014, 09:25 AM Terms of Jason Hatcher Deal per John Keim (ESPN): Hatcher received a $9-million signing bonus and has $10.5 million guaranteed. There's no guaranteed money after the first year and with his base salary escalating by a considerable amount in the third year, the Redskins could cut him and he would count $4.5 million against the cap (unless they can spread it out over two years at $2.25 million per). It's hard to imagine Hatcher getting to that final season considering his cap hit would be hefty for a player who would be 35 entering the season. But if he's still playing well? Different story. Here's the breakdown, courtesy of ESPN Stats & Information: 2014 Base salary: $1.5 million (fully guaranteed) Cap hit: $3.75 million 2015 Base salary: $3 million Cap hit: $5.25 million 2016 Base salary: $6.5 million Cap hit: $8.75 million 2017 Base salary: $7.5 million Cap hit: $9.75 million GTripp0012 03-15-2014, 11:16 AM Terms of Jason Hatcher Deal per John Keim (ESPN): Hatcher received a $9-million signing bonus and has $10.5 million guaranteed. I don't think Hatcher could play poorly enough in year one to have the Redskins release him before year two. It's too costly. The practical guarantee is $13.5 million. The last season is funny money. It's essentially a 3 year/$20 million contract with the first two years guaranteed at $13.5 million. So an effective AAV of $6.5 to $6.75. It's rare for an older player to get a deal like this. But it's not bad, all it says is the Redskins love them some Jason Hatcher. That Guy 03-15-2014, 04:07 PM 7.85mill left, if anyone is wondering. |
