He loves drugs...and people here want it legalized? If someone can F up their life so badly when it's against the law, think how many more people and how much quicker they'll do it when they can pick it up at a convenience store.

That same argument was made during alcohol prohibition. How'd that work out?

he's rich and he lots pot more than football. sometimes some of these athletes can skate through college into the NFL without having to take responsibility for their actions, cause they're good at playing football.

honestly, i don't know him, but it's obvious that the NFL isn't that important.Based upon Fred's stellar decisions in the past, it's safe to say that he won't be rich for very long now that his NFL career is pretty much over.

I'm no expert, but it seems like Fred Davis just may have an addictive personality and/or football just isn't that important to him so legality doesn't have much to do with it.
Plus, who's to say that his second suspension was actually for pot? The reports don't specify what it was for. Yes, it probably was weed but we don't really know for sure.

disagree . . . he may have screwed his football career and life's work, but ONLY because it was illegal . . . if it were legal and not against the nfl rules, how would pot have hurt him?? . . . the alcohol DUI is FAR FAR FAR worse than smoking a little weed

Do you believe pot is 100% safe?

Nothing is 100% safe.
A salad fork can be dangerous to you if used improperly.

Fred's got serious maturity/insecurity issues. He's been in trouble with the law a lot more often than has been reported, I'll say that much

Except the effects of weed and alcohol and the science of the addiction behind them both are... completely different. Also it takes certain type of person to even TRY illegal drugs. For example, if they legalize PCP tomorrow and you can buy it at CVS, are you going to run out and try it? Most people, obviously won't.

But like AW said, nothing is 100% safe.

Davis' DUI was at 3:45 in the afternoon, on a Thursday. Yeah, he has problems.
