redskins5044 01-19-2014, 07:43 PM Yep Wilson is so much better the RG3... Lol budw38 01-19-2014, 07:43 PM If you add a great qb to a good team , you get a very good team . Put that great qb on a very good team > you get a great team. Put great QB on a great team , you end up in contention to win rings . NO qb can win a ring on a poor team , not Manning , Brady , Montana , Marino . I have no doubt that Cleveland would have been in the playoffs with either Manning or Brady . Football > Ultimate TEAM Sport ! donofriose 01-19-2014, 07:43 PM Manning doesn't hold the ball for 5 seconds either, can read defenses, change plays and his line knows where he is going to be unlike our QB. I agree. Fix the QB. Fix the Line. Than maybe this team will take off. donofriose 01-19-2014, 07:43 PM If you add a great qb to a good team , you get a very good team . Put that great qb on a very ggod team > you get a great team. Exactly. The Manning vs Brady debate is idiotic to me. skinsfanthru&thru 01-19-2014, 07:46 PM Which is why Tebow had a 8-8 record with them? Tebow didn't have Wes Welker a perennial pro bowler, a stud TE in J. Thomas, a finally healthy Moreno, and two wrs in D. Thomas and Decker going into their 3rd and 4th years where most WRs not named Megatron and Fitzgerald primarily hit their stride. NC_Skins 01-19-2014, 07:52 PM It had nothing to do with 3 Manning turnovers either... Give Brady Harrison, Wayne, Clark, James, Stokley, Garcon, Decker, Thomas, Thomas, and Welker, he would hold all the regular season records just like Manning. He had just as many weapons on the 2007 team bro. What if Peyton Manning and Tom Brady had traded places - ESPN (http://espn.go.com/nfl/playoffs/2013/story/_/id/10300335/what-peyton-manning-tom-brady-had-traded-places) Offenses don't cut it in the playoffs. Defenses do. In the playoffs, the play is more aggressive and defenses tend to shine. Regular season? It's all about the offense and scoring. Post season? It's all about the defense and special teams. It's like the NBA. Defense is a for gone conclusion during regular season, but come playoff time, the refs allow that extra contact and favors those with defenses (why Suns never won) You more likely aren't going deep into the playoffs with a subpar defense in the NFL. That isn't a conspiracy or theory. That is a straight up fact. Research it. (I have) skinsfanthru&thru 01-19-2014, 07:53 PM This game, my friends, showed why we need to focus on our offensive line this off-season. The Broncos won the trenches and it allowed Peyton Manning to pick New England apart. Pretty much. As much as our pathetic defense gets talks about, this offseason I see the majority of our focus put towards the offensive line both in free agency and the draft. Primary focus this offseason had gotta be protecting the face of the franchise and doing everything in their power to letting him shine as bright as he has the potential to do so. budw38 01-19-2014, 07:53 PM Exactly. The Manning vs Brady debate is idiotic to me. I agree , they play on diff.teams for diff coaches , are asked to run different schemes . Elite Qb's are going to play at a high level given some talent around them. Lets hope we are talking about RG3 this way in 10 years . NC_Skins 01-19-2014, 07:54 PM Tebow didn't have Wes Welker a perennial pro bowler, a stud TE in J. Thomas, a finally healthy Moreno, and two wrs in D. Thomas and Decker going into their 3rd and 4th years where most WRs not named Megatron and Fitzgerald primarily hit their stride. Welker had his lowest output this season since his 2006 year. Welker wasn't needed to make this offense soar like it has. A competent QB was what was needed. skinsfanthru&thru 01-19-2014, 08:00 PM Welker had his lowest output this season since his 2006 year. Welker wasn't needed to make this offense soar like it has. A competent QB was what was needed. He missed 3 games due to concussion issues and still had just under 800 yards and more tds than any previous season. |
