Manning doesn't hold the ball for 5 seconds either, can read defenses, change plays and his line knows where he is going to be unlike our QB.

Tebow didn't have Wes Welker a perennial pro bowler, a stud TE in J. Thomas, a finally healthy Moreno, and two wrs in D. Thomas and Decker going into their 3rd and 4th years where most WRs not named Megatron and Fitzgerald primarily hit their stride.

Offenses don't cut it in the playoffs. Defenses do. In the playoffs, the play is more aggressive and defenses tend to shine. Regular season? It's all about the offense and scoring. Post season? It's all about the defense and special teams. It's like the NBA. Defense is a for gone conclusion during regular season, but come playoff time, the refs allow that extra contact and favors those with defenses (why Suns never won) You more likely aren't going deep into the playoffs with a subpar defense in the NFL. Pretty much. As much as our pathetic defense gets talks about, this offseason I see the majority of our focus put towards the offensive line both in free agency and the draft. Primary focus this offseason had gotta be protecting the face of the franchise and doing everything in their power to letting him shine as bright as he has the potential to do so.

I agree , they play on diff.teams for diff coaches , are asked to run different schemes . Elite Qb's are going to play at a high level given some talent around them. Lets hope we are talking about RG3 this way in 10 years .

Welker had his lowest output this season since his 2006 year. Welker wasn't needed to make this offense soar like it has. A competent QB was what was needed.
