donofriose 01-19-2014, 07:30 PM Brady v. Manning is overhyped. Neither would be anything if they didn't have 10 other guys on offense helping them out, as well as an entire defense supporting their leads and special teams helping them out. That's why they always give credit to their supporting cast, because they know they are the voice of an entire team. I think both are amongst the all-time greats at qb, but I don't care to rank which is better than the other. Both of them have put up amazing numbers with and without great supporting casts, although Brady has more seasons with the latter.
Exactly true. Without Marvin Harrison and Reggie Wayne do we view Manning the same? Most likely not.
Without a great defense do we view Brady the same? Most likely not.
Its a joke that people think one is better than the other when football is such a team game.
NC_Skins 01-19-2014, 07:32 PM Exactly, no way this pats team should have won 12 games , who is their big name playmaker?? On either side of the ball... It shows how great BB and TB really are.
Are you kidding me?
They were 7th in total offense. They were 9th in rushing yards. They were 10th in passing. (total NFL rankings)
So Tom has no weapons, yet they manage to put up that type of yardage and scoring. Tom has weapons. Because YOU have never heard of them or because they aren't Dez, CJ, or AJ Green means they have no play makers. Apparently you haven't seen jack shit from Edleman, nor have you seen their running game. Sure, those first few games were brutal for Brady and company, but they took off once they got their rhythm. Stop this non-sense that Brady has no weapons.
Also, if Brady has no weapons, and Bill Bellichick is picking the players. What exactly does that say about BB?
SolidSnake84 01-19-2014, 07:33 PM I have always wondered "what if" Tom Brady was on a different team in the NFL, and not one that always seems loaded up with winners like New England.
Would he still be viewed as one of the league's all time great? Maybe, but i'm not really sure. I don't see Tom Brady being the "Tom Brady" we know if he played for Oakland or Cleveland, etc....
NC_Skins 01-19-2014, 07:34 PM To be fair Tim did win a playoff game with Denver, that team is stacked on offense
He won that game with 3 completed passes. Three!!!
COME ON MAN.

I don't see Manning being Manning on Cleveland or Oakland.
SirLK26 01-19-2014, 07:36 PM This game, my friends, showed why we need to focus on our offensive line this off-season. The Broncos won the trenches and it allowed Peyton Manning to pick New England apart.
NC_Skins 01-19-2014, 07:37 PM He made it just as far in the playoffs as Peyton Manning did last year.
And Tebow went 7-4. Orton went 1-4.
Yeah. That had nothing to do with a shitty coach having Manning take a knee with 1:30 to go in the half. (notice this year they scored with the same amount of time before half) Nah, that had nothing to do with their defense making the biggest mistake in history allowing the other team to basically score on a deep ball when all they had to do is play deep.
Give Manning Bellichick and he'd have 5-6 Super Bowls by now.

It had nothing to do with 3 Manning turnovers either...
Give Brady Harrison, Wayne, Clark, James, Stokley, Garcon, Decker, Thomas, Thomas, and Welker, he would hold all the regular season records just like Manning.
Ruhskins 01-19-2014, 07:40 PM I'm just glad the f*cking Patriots are out of the playoffs.

Manning doesn't hold the ball for 5 seconds either, can read defenses, change plays and his line knows where he is going to be unlike our QB.
