Hopefully I do not get banned from the site for this. On another thread people were hinting around wanting to play a football game against members of another site. Well, all of that talk has gotten me very antsy. I wanna play! So I would like to get the flame ignited.

It would be appreciated if one of the forum leaders could get this thing going. I am sure that with the 900+ members on this site we could come up with a pretty decent squad. Just tell me when and where (2 weeks notice required).

At 5-11 and 1/2, 195lbs DB for the warpath with speed, pure speed angryssg!

P.S. I like to hit hard too.

What? Now all of a sudden nobody want's to play? Typical, all talk with nothing to back it up with.

I'm all for it.

I doubt anything will materialize, though. Members are spread throughout the country and trying to set something like this up would be really difficult.

Maybe the thing to do would be to arrange it around training camp.

Hey, read one of my posts in the other thread. I'm all about setting this up, but summer is the right time for it. I'll take charge of setting it up, but we've got to wait until some better weather AND give it some time to organize. I think we've found a number of people who wanna play and I seriously would contact the Redskins and see if they would think a football game (tackle or even flag) would be feasible.

I'm definitely all about arranging it around training camp, particularly on Fan Apprecation Day.

I highly doubt they would permit a tackle game (for obvious reasons). However, I think they would a flag football game. That would be sweet if it was like on the news and stuff; it would be such a blast. Traning camp would be the ideal time to do it as well, since many of us(not from the area) plan trips down there during htat time anyways.

I'd love to play, if this thing does materialize id love to be a part of it.

Not to go off on a tangent, but id love to see a league (other than semi pro) where an adult can play tackle football w/refs, marked fields, pads, coaches etc... If one exists in the nova area can someone let me know...

And if not, if anyone has any info/insight on how to start something like that up Id like some feedback there too.

Don't you think some of the other Skins fan sites might want in on the action? I imagine with sites like hailRedskins.com, thehogs.net, CPND, etc, we could probably start a damn league!

How about this: "The Fan-site Bowl", held at or near Redskins Park on Fan Appreciation Day-- sponsored by Home Depot! Prizes to the champion and runner-up!

You could even do a single-elimination tournament if the games were short enough; say with 5-minute quarters. I guess we would need 4 or 8 teams for that.

Anyway, if you got everybody to sign a waiver, I don't see why a flag game wouldn't be feasible-- especially if it brought more publicity and money to the whole Fan Appreciation Day event (not that they need it!).

I'm up for it!

5'11, 200 lbs, by the way-- with wings on my feet.

Exactly what I'm saying! :) I think in the other thread we proposed playing against extremeskins.com, but if anyone has connections to the other sites I would love to have a tournament of some kind, even if it is flag football. JoeCrisp, I normally don't get a chance to response to your posts, but am I incorrect in saying that you are connected to the Redskins somehow? If so, how would I best contact them regarding this game during training camp?
