Well we did last yr and if Griffin was on SF or Car he'd be winning as well. When u don't have to worry about scoring a bunch its easy to just look good winning. Think about how mad people would be if Wilson was out there for us throwing for 150 yards a game lmao everyone would be calling for cousins over Wilson.

For example ... as to points allowed, SF's defense has been ranked 2, 2, and 3 under the current regime. Conversely, it's offense has been ranked ~11th in points each year but 24th, 11th, 26th in yards. Given the disparity between points v. yards on offense, it is pretty clear that SF's O has been the beneficiary of great field position. Not knocking the SF offense - it's okay, just nothing special.

SF stopped Carolina 7 times from the 1-yard line. Had they not, it is likely SF doesn't win the game.

Anyone see RG3s facebook?

I usually don’t do this because everyone will have an opinion on what you do or don’t do. But to answer your question.

I wear a sleeve because….well the same reason Pierre Garcon wears a fang mouthpiece-S. Moss wears a hand warmer when it’s 70 degrees-Will Montgomery wears elbow pads-Alfred Morris wears shin guards-London Fletcher doesn’t wear sleeves in below freezing weather-Adam Carriker does bicep curls and tricep extensions before a game-Chris Baker dances before every game in the locker room-Logan Paulsen does 2 handed spikes when he celebrates touchdowns-Chris Chester does ninja spins to block people-Some guys wear sleeves & some don’t-Some guys wear wristbands & some don’t-Etc Etc

You see WE do these things because they make us comfortable. Not to be different. Been wearing a sleeve and glove for 10 years.

You see WE are a team.

You think I want it to be national news that I visit a beach? Or shop at Walmart? Or wore red shoes instead if green yesterday? Well I don’t. I’m “striving” for greatness just like my fellow teammates do. The “attention” that comes with being a QB in the league is what you are referring to. All the press conferences and talking to the media? Mandated by the league to have a press conference every week during the season and during team activities during the off-season. Oh wait, you must be talking about the Commercials? Right? Oh ok so what was the deal with those in 2012? WE won the division. So in 2013 when WE get knocked down, and finish last it’s because of the commercials? If that is your reasoning I have nothing more to say. WE will get back up. That is what matters. I hope I answered your question well enough.

And that you keep supporting the team.

I love it

The scrutiny he's been under this year has been amazing. He can literally do nothing right to some. Good for him for speaking up. Not that it's going to matter to the haters anyway.

What everyone fails to realize that he brings a lot of it on himself by being out there so much. Look, get your money, sell subs, sell Gatorade, sell Adidas gear, put on your operation patience t-shirt on when everyone else wears Redskin gear, turn your rehab into a marketing piece, draw a line in the sand with your coaches on the first week of the season....do all that. But just make sure you back it up on the field. If you don't ( and then throw the worst INT of your career and say..."well no one was open" ) then we all see what can happen.

Now he looks insecure with this thing on Facebook. He just needs to shut the hell up and ignore this crap. Instead? He digs a deeper hole for himself.

... or maybe everyone should stop analyzing his every statement/action looking for deeper meanings about his personality.

His teammates just voted him the recipient of the team's Ed Block Courage award ... that says a lot more to me about who he is than FB posts and Subway commercials.

RG3 is totally right. If the Redskins were winning, no bulls*** columnists would make up lame stories about how he's a coach killer and a boy emperor. There would be no stories about how he's too close to the coach and how he doesn't take responsibility for his mistakes on the field.

If RG3 and the Redskins were successful, these negative stories wouldn't be so believable, and "people" such as Sally Jenkins wouldn't write negative columns about him. But as long as the Redskins struggle, people will swallow these ridiculous stories hook, line, and sinker. You only have to go to other teams' message boards to see the evidence of that. I'm reminded of a quote by Paintrain: "Because society is conditioned to be cynical nowadays, we are far too willing to believe anything negative connected to them. Coupled with on the field struggles it makes it so much easier to confirm whatever negative narrative you've chosen to believe." So true.

He markets himself just like 99% of all big name athletes, so what.

Easy to say he should just ignore these things, meanwhile the assaults on his character continue. All from anonymous sources. I can see where that would be pretty frustrating.

Very well said Joe! Can't people just simply take this guy at face value, give him the benefit of the doubt and time to prove himself on the field? He is 23 years old. How many of us, at that age, could take on the pressure of D.C. media, playing football for a big market team that has been losers for the last twenty years, and the pressure that is on his shoulders to be the guy who turns it around? Aren't we being a little unfair to the guy? It's quite easy for a lot of us to hide behind usernames on a forum board and act as if we know how it all should work and we know better than Griffin. The truth is, many of us at that age didn't know our heads from a hole in the wall - and many of us years past that age still don't.

Anyways, getting back to the topic of the thread, three of the four remaining teams are teams I hate. After yesterday, I have a new hate of the 49ers. Colon cleanse Kapernick's mocking of Cam Newton really pissed me off. Gotta say, being in Panther country, I have a new respect for the team. I have always liked the Carolina Panthers (not of course when they play the Redskins) and have always pulled for them to do well. But yesterday, I am just sick of them. I hope the Broncos mops the floor with the Patriots and then proceeds to do the same thing to either the Seahawks or the 49ers.
