what game are you guys watching on sunday? orakpo is a top tier FA, and franchise QBs, LTs, and elite pass rushers don't get onto the market often.
check his sack % (sack per pass rush attempt), it's good, even with doubles.
peyton manning was on a 1-15 team, obviously they should have cut him on the spot, cause it's impossible for anyone to be a good player on a bad team.
Bad value. Orakpo is on a 3-13 team. This not the time for a team in this position to overpay an decent rush LB, his pass coverage may have improved but it was terrible
Let another team sign him, it's time to move on from this experiment, he's an undersized rush end.
He was injured the season before the year he missed, and in that previous year his pectoral was partially torn for half the year and was largely ineffective.
This injury thing with him is tiring.
This is what really happened. He got injured in week 17 of 2011, re-injured it in week 2 of 2012. He missed 14 games in 2012. Outside of that he's missed just 2 other games.
He's made multiple Pro Bowls, safe to say LB is not just an experiment.

Well said. There are 31 other teams in the league who would love to have an "experiment" at LB like Brian Orakpo. Re-signing him is an absolute necessity. Any argument to the contrary is crazy in my opinion.

Orakpo is going to 1) get a long term deal -OR- 2) get the franchise tag. He will not be on another squad this season. I guar-on-tee it. I heard on the radio this morning that the skins and orakpo's people have been pass dollar amount back and forth to find a common ground. It will happen, just takes time.

^ He'll get tagged to give us more time to work on the extension.
there's no way we can let him walk, so if no deal, of course the tag.

Definition of a loser. Davis is the type of player that makes fans hate athletes. So much talent, so many opportunities, so much unfulfilled promise. I usually shy away from making personal assessments but dude is just a complete loser. I can't think of another word to describe him with.

The skins only have 30 mil in cap space and have numerous needs, If orakpo can be had for 6-7 mil per, that'll allow them to fill some holes maybe but, LBs are usually the heart of special teams and it'll limit them in quality depth, the thing that they've been needing.
He's really not a good value at that number. Hopefully the skins will realize that he's not a top shelf LB and let him walk if he wants more than 7 mil,
