JoeRedskin 02-03-2014, 11:23 AM If he comes back at a reasonable price, I am all good with that. Without doing film study, it just seems to me he has done well enough to warrant a return. Particularly since we don't really have anyone standing behind him who is clearly his equivalent or better.
That Guy 02-03-2014, 11:30 AM dhall is what he is. he isn't great, but he isn't terrible. I'd like him a whole lot better as a #2.
calia 02-03-2014, 02:40 PM I wouldn't be averse to a modest 3 year deal. He's 30, and so anything beyond that would be unwise, but a 2 year deal seems barely better than a 1 year deal and we might not be able to pull that off. DHall has shown more than any other DB we have at this point.
KI Skins Fan 02-03-2014, 06:16 PM I have bashed DHall as much as anyone, but even I have to admit that he had a good season in 2013. I want him back.
I also want the Skins to go after a shutdown corner in FA (Talib or Shields would be nice). That would give us the new #1 guy, DHall, Amerson, Richard Crawford, and one other guy TBD. I don't think that's bad at all at CB.
DHall wants to be here and I think he'll be relatively easy to extend with a good deal for both sides.
Buffalo Bob 02-03-2014, 07:00 PM Also, Stevie Brown and Whitner for safety, re-sign Hall and pick up Tarell Brown at CB. Wishful thinking..
As a 49er fan pretty sure Whitner is resigned but Tarell Brown is available.

I would like to see a Revis deal for Hall, Not in the Revis money range... But give him a 3 or 4 one year deals. That way he is playing each year for the next... Have to make it worth while to him though, probably 4 to 5 million per year.

That's a very good idea.
Based on his feeling that he was underpaid last year, Hall might feel that he earned at least a two year deal with a substantial raise. Even so, he and his agent might be willing to go year-to-year after that.
I think DHall has been honest about wanting to play in Washington. Accordingly, he was reasonable in accepting a "prove it" deal in 2013. He helped the Skins with their cap situation and then he played well on the field.
I also think that he showed more emotional maturity and leadership on and off the field.
In short, he did his part. Now, I think he deserves a near market rate contract for a veteran #2 corner.
EARTHQUAKE2689 02-06-2014, 08:47 AM A couple of bargain free agents that I like are:
Andrew Quarless TE, Green Bay
Arthur Jones DE, Baltimore
Eric Winston OT, Arizona

Eric Winston OT, Arizonajones would be a great signing if at a bargain, is he under the radar enough to be a bargain?
Starry Plough 02-06-2014, 11:56 AM WalterFootball has him ranked as the top Defensive Tackle in FA.
Arthur Jones, DE/DT, Ravens. Age: 28.
Arthur Jones is coming off an excellent 2013 campaign in which he happened to be one of the league's best 3-4 defensive ends. He's a monstrous run-stuffer and applies decent pressure on the quarterback.
