Dude you're the most pessimistic Debbie Downer around here.I'm just tired of so many trainwrecks at head coach.

Well maybe sit this one out then and quit being a sad sack.

Just a quick note on Gruden, as a professional player or high level coach (coordinator or HC) he never finished a season with a losing record. He had two .500 seasons, one as a player and one as a coach. Dude just wins.

We all are. That doesn't mean we should moan and bring everyone else down.

I wonder if the front office is looking into any of the Jets assistant coaches to join our staff. A coach that has learned under Rex Ryan sounds interesting.

Jets still haven't offered extensions to any of the at least half-dozen asst. coaches on staff, and they're now free to talk to other teams.

Neither did the 4-3. That's why we switched to the 3-4 in the first place.

Statistically we were better with a 4-3 defense then a 3-4 defense. Bottom line is we need to upgrade personal and coaches to make what ever scheme we go with work.

As far as the switch goes..that was a Shannahan bonehead move

Saw an article on SI about Jay Gruden. Sort of disgusted me. It said that one of the things that was told to Gruden by Dan Snyder was that he was to announce RG3 was the starting QB, and that there would be no competition.

While RG3 should start next year, this to me says that things are already going down the same path that they've always been : Dan Snyder tells the coach who he is going to play, instead of the coach deciding on how he will put the best players on the field.

Competition is always good for everyone. No way this team wins or is successful as long as this crap is going on - the owner telling the coach who he must play. It is disgusting

I agree. The Broncos, Colts, Patriots, Seahwaks.....all of the playoff teams for that matter...all of them have coaches who let the world know that there is constant open competition for their quarterback positions.

Jay Gruden said it best in his opening press conference:

“I hear, but I don’t really believe all the reports that you guys report.”

In all fairness RG3 should be the starter, he's better than KC and he's our number 2 overall pick.
