irish 01-09-2014, 03:34 PM Citing the WP for proof of DS being a bad owner is not really very useful. I am sure that, like every other owner in the league, he has pushed his ideas, but it is clear from Gibbs to Shanahan and now Allen, that he has been reducing the amount of hands on meddling that he has been doing. The Washington Post, or at least some of its writers, will never acknowledge DS doing anything other than being a petulant owner, but that doesn't seem to jive with most of the facts that are out there now.
What facts are out there that can you produce?
Chico23231 01-09-2014, 03:36 PM What should I be thinking? Enlighten me with your positivism.
14 years of ownership.
8 head coaches.
2 playoff win.
0 super bowls.
failure, price of admission.
So basically you're saying "we are due" for a strong, playoff filled, superbowl winning run? I like your way of thinking Saden, HTTmutherf*ckingR!
spAtt 01-09-2014, 03:36 PM Disconcerting Stat of the Day - During all 3 years as Cincy's OC, Gruden's offense has never ranked higher than the Shanahans.
Yet they still made it to the playoffs...it's all in prospective....lol

Any future success this team has with DS as an owner, and I really have my doubts there will be any success with DS as the owner will be in spite of him not because of him.
Of owners who have been in the league at least 10 years only 4 owners are worse than DS. R. Wilson (Buf), R. McNair (Hou), B. Bidwell (AZ), and WC Ford (Det). That's some pretty sorry company.
Bucket 01-09-2014, 03:50 PM When your winning games you don't never till throw up alot of stats. I'm sorry but if we traded places with the Bengals the post there years. Nobody would be complaining right now

Skinsfanatic 01-09-2014, 03:57 PM I realize everyone else probably knew this, but I didn't realize that the Florida Tuskers (of the UFL, where Haslett and Gruden worked together) was owned by Theisman.
Skinsfanatic 01-09-2014, 03:59 PM Any word on who our special teams coordinator might be now that it seems we have HC, OC, and DC decided?

I get what your saying, but I really dont think it does any good to dwell on DS.
