Jim Haslett... 2014 Washington Head Coach.
It's official: Shanahan fireddonofriose 12-30-2013, 05:54 PM Jim Haslett... 2014 Washington Head Coach. Paintrain 12-30-2013, 05:54 PM Since we're cleaning house can we fire the strength and conditioning coach? Look at all these f'ing people on IR! 55 Nick Barnett ILB (IR) 72 Stephen Bowen DE (IR) 19 Dezmon Briscoe WR (IR) 94 Adam Carriker DE (PUP) 20 Richard Crawford CB (IR) 85 Leonard Hankerson WR (IR) 79 Maurice Hurt G/T (IR) 34 Tanard Jackson FS (Susp.) 53 Bryan Kehl ILB (IR) 47 Jeremy Kimbrough ILB (IR) 86 Jordan Reed TE (IR) 52 Keenan Robinson ILB (IR) 22 Evan Royster RB (IR) 57 Nick Sundberg LS (IR) 41 Phillip Thomas SS (IR) 25 Chris Thompson RB (IR) 90 Doug Worthington DE (IR) Our medical staff has been a disaster for YEARS, pre-dating Shanahan. They've never been able to get/keep people healthy it seems, especially muscular injuries. On Shanahan, as a former supporter of his/theirs, kick rocks. I've never seen a guy make more excuses, or remix the same excuse (salary cap penalty) over and over again. What he always failed to mention is that the cap penalties happened under HIS watch and HIS direction. He didn't inherit a $36 cap penalty. His actions, either directly or implicitly created that situation. 12 of 34 draft picks under his watch made contributions to the team this year, unexcusable. Of his 2nd and 3rd round picks, (none in 2010, Jenkins & Hankerson in 2011, LeRiebus in 2012, Amerson & Reed in 2013) only one (Reed) is a potential star and he's fragile. Of his 4th round picks (Riley, Helu, Cousins, K. Robinson, P. Thomas) only Riley has shown capable of impacting the game week in and week out. If not for Morris, his late round record would be (still is overall) atrocious. A lot was made in Bruce Allen's presser about Campbell and Brown being given the chance to succeed with their ideas so I'd love to hear how many of these guys were all Shanny and how many did they also sign off on. Darrell_Green_28 12-30-2013, 06:04 PM Dan Snyder was just seen exiting Redskins One with Joe Gibbs. sorry just had to. 30gut 12-30-2013, 06:18 PM These coaches have not been fired (yet): Jim Haslett - DC Raheem Morris - Defensive backs Sean McVay - Tight ends Bobby Turner - Running backs Jacob Burney - D-line Chris Foerster - O-lineGracias! skinsfan69 12-30-2013, 06:26 PM Our medical staff has been a disaster for YEARS, pre-dating Shanahan. I'm sure Snyder and Allen had their hands in that mess too. MTK 12-30-2013, 06:51 PM Shanahan was guilty of some cap infractions in Denver too. The Goat 12-30-2013, 07:02 PM Shanahan was guilty of some cap infractions in Denver too. No shit? Wonder if the punitive measures we saw had more to do with Shanahans history than Skins/Mara etc? Cap infractions seem like a rarity in the NFL, pretty bush league to make a habit of it. Geez I'm glad it's over. The future looks soooooo bright now. skinsfan69 12-30-2013, 07:26 PM Listening to Cooley....he really gives great insight on what's went on here the last four years. Sounds like total dysfunction. NC_Skins 12-30-2013, 07:43 PM Shanahan was guilty of some cap infractions in Denver too. Actually, that happened at a time before he had full control. I'm quite positive he had no say so on contracts during that time. SolidSnake84 12-30-2013, 07:56 PM Jim Haslett... 2014 Washington Head Coach. There is a lot of talk on this right now at some of the other redskins boards. I hope it's not true but it wouldn't surprise me. What happens to the rooney rule if the skins have already decided that Haslett is the replacement? Do they still have to interview a minority candidate if the replacement is already on staff? I thought i read somewhere that it doesn't apply if the next coach is already on the staff... |
