Redskins_P, please don't feed the Troll.
Sorry, I won't. I just had to get that off my chest.

Comeback Redskin of 2005Redskins_P 03-28-2005, 02:51 PM Redskins_P, please don't feed the Troll. Sorry, I won't. I just had to get that off my chest. TheMalcolmConnection 03-28-2005, 02:56 PM Malcom: Thank you for your concern. I'm feeling perfectly fine. :food-smil Actually, most of my posts here try to deal with what I see as the reality of the situation with regard to the Washington Redskins and the NFL in general. Compared to the prevailing tone here of looking at the world through rose colored glasses - with burgundy and gold frames of course - I come off sounding "negative". For example, when I criticized the Skins' WR corps last year, I was told that the Skins had WRs that were in the top 3 of the league. It's fine to want that to be true, but when I took a look at the end of the season and did a realistic check, I don't think that was the case. :vomit-smi But I'm feeling just fine here in Curmudgeon Central. I might have an obligation to offer some contrary remarks if anyone here decides to say that the most important comeback for a Redskin in 2005 would be Rock Cartwright or Sultan McCullough. But so far, we seem not to have anyone in danger of treading into that uncharted terriroty! I normally take your posts with a grain of salt. I always like to hear dissenting opinions (ex. Shane), but there is always one person who needs to point out the things that a lot of us choose to ignore or do not see. You are that person in most cases, hence the reason I'm always entertained to see when the last post was by you and a number of other people on here I highly respect (I'm not going to list, for fear of forgetting someone). Speaking of a Sultan McCullough comeback... When the hell is he going to take his place as the #1 back? :food-smil :joke: MTK 03-28-2005, 03:23 PM Redskins_P, please don't feed the Troll. Agreed, it's not even worth the effort. Just laugh and move on. RedskinRat 03-28-2005, 03:48 PM Kids are home from school, we get the occasional idiot. They never last long and if they get no attention they are gone even faster. 81forHOF 03-29-2005, 08:16 AM When Jansen went down I knew our entire season was in the toilet. He will make the most difference. Peolpe say they were suprised that our D played so well without Arrington but when you consider that we were without our 2 best defensive players from the previous year (Arrington and Bailey) it makes what G.W. did that much more impressive! I think Bowen is a scrappy player but I don't think he will cut it at C.B. (and I hope we never have to find out) and as for his blitzing ability that keeps being mentioned, I may be wrong but I believe that the 2 sacks he got in week 1 last year are the only 2 of his career. It will be good to have all of them back and I hope they all have career years!!!!!!! CRT3 03-29-2005, 09:24 AM I have one that no one on here or anyone would speculate on. My choice for comeback player of the year will be Brunnel. Ramsey will get hurt someway, its the nature of the position. Brunnel steps in and catches on fire. That would qualify for a comeback. Just speculation and I truly hope Ramsey lasts the season but stranger things have happenend. Plus I have a problem considering a comeback player from injury. They were good to start, comming back from a dismal season shows more character and will power of the player. SKINZ_DOMIN8 03-29-2005, 11:17 AM I would vote for the next joe montana: Patrick Ramsey. After all he has proven how great he is. Just look at his win-loss record and his arm strength and his potential. Just look how far he has gotten us the past 3 years. Wow. He is truly the greatest player all time on the Redskins if not the entire league. I agree with all his fans on this site he will throw for 75 tds and 20,000 yards he is that good. His potential and arm strength will lead us to the superbowl. TheMalcolmConnection 03-29-2005, 11:24 AM I debated on commenting on this, but rather than look at the win-loss record, I would look at the supporting cast. It's a team, not a Ramsey. Redskins_P 03-29-2005, 12:24 PM I debated on commenting on this, but rather than look at the win-loss record, I would look at the supporting cast. It's a team, not a Ramsey. I agree Malcolm. Hopefully the comeback player will be all 11. If Ramsey takes us to the playoffs, I bet many here will change their opinion on him. But its gonna take more than just Ramsey. It's the offense as a whole. O-Line, Ramsey, Portis, and our WR's (and my boy Cooley!) TheMalcolmConnection 03-29-2005, 12:27 PM Definitely man. It's a combination of things that has happened the last few years and now hopefully a combination of things improving will get us back where we want to be. |
