I think it's bad for someone like Cousins getting a fair shake, but it's going to make every other offensive player on the roster better.

How? By spacing the field as wide as possible? Sure it works in a conference where no one plays defense and the hash marks are wide.

Plus what does that hire say to the rest of your team? I'm catering to one guy. Even Snyder wouldn't do that.

I think Briles would be a bad idea too. Too much baggage would come with that hire.

Kind of like the Chip Kelly hire in Philly.

The only thing clear in all of these leaks is that someone, either Shanahan's camp or Robert's camp, is lying. Lying badly. Considering what we KNOW versus what we are trying to be led to BELIEVE, my money's on Shanahan and his mouthpieces are the ones who're lying; it feels like a naked attempt to make it appear as if all the team's woes are the fault of Robert the "diva QB" and his dad and Mike couldn't win because of interference.

Friggin' gossip columns posing as sports columns. One blogger writes something. Someone else picks it up and now "it's been reported"; the fuel to the fire is the utter lack of any critical thinking whatsoever from too many of those who read this nonsense.

And with all due affection, screw what Fletcher has to say about this. He's done, he's retiring and he's been cooked all season long. I'm sick of seeing the back of his jersey. He won't be here next year no matter what way this shakes out, so IDGAF what he has to say.

I ain't looking at reports about Mike. I'm looking at results BY Mike. I'm looking at actions taken BY mike. I'm looking at words said BY mike.

I'm not looking at reports about Robert. I'm looking at actions taken BY Robert. I'm looking at words said BY Robert. I'm looking at what happens on the field.

That's where the only truths we are privy to come from, and the only truths we can KNOW for sure right now are that Mike's actions and words have the team and the fanbase fighting themselves, and he's had full control and final say on the roster and the result is 24-38.

And people seem to be ok with this and are willing to buy into the trending narrative of shifting all the blame for this terrible season on the second year rookie QB and his dad, the QB who set NFL records, broke his body for this team, worked his ass off to be back for the team after a season-ending injury that many thought impossible, almost always takes the high road, and even as he was benched asked the fans not to give up on the 'Skins because he still has faith and believes in the team.

Jesus tap-dancing Christ.

Robert is a "diva QB".

Because reports say.

Wow. Just wow.

Right, the initial perception of RG "getting his way" would be tough to overcome unless the wins pile up quick. Do they really want all that extra heat?

The fact that he's a Shanahan microphone is exactly why you SHOULDNT take anything he says with a grain of salt. He's preaching what's really going on, Atleast from shanahans point of view.

That last sentence is priceless.

For what it's worth, Wilson was on the kornheiser show and thinks cousins should be the starter because he's a legit nfl starter (Wilbon watched him a lot in college) and griffins been playing horrible. He said cousins is way too good to be holding a clip board and said griffin hasn't done anything yet to prove he's anything. He says the redskins put themselves in this position by drafting two starters and one of them has to go.

I agree one of them had to go. It's time. I just don't see eehy everyone thinks it's cousins that has to go. What rg3 has done to make so many of you think he has earned the right to be the unquestioned starter for eternity is beyond me.
