For clarification, all my thoughts are based on the preceding quotes from the bleacherreport link which painted rg3 as a spoiled brat/cry baby who won't listen to his coaches. Hence, the first word in my post was "if." If rg is that much of a diva, I don't want him on my team. If those reports aren't true, and he's a high character guy who tries to build good relationships with his coaches and team mates and readily accepts all coaching given him, then I'm happy he's here.

Well that is your problem right there.

Any talk of trading Robert is crazy talk.

Didn't you know? All you need is 2 full games to realize Cousins is LEGIT.

The "trade RGIII" topic came up on the Galdi, Czaban, Cooley radio show yesterday (ESPN 980). First legitimate public forum where I heard the possibility discussed. They pointed out that many of the sacks taken by RGIII were on him because he runs around trying to improvise rather than trying to buy time in the pocket. In that case (their words, not mine), the OL has no clue as to how or where to block rushers. As you might imagine, Cooley had the most insight on this point. Anyway, it really makes sense to me that part of what Shanahan is doing involves proving to Snyder that much of what has happened to Redskins this season is on Griffin rather than the OL. Next few weeks will be interesting! #BeatDallas #HTTR

UMMMMMM, THIS.

DUH.

Anyone even remotely entertaining the idea of trading RG3 is just idiotic and stupid. Sorry, I said it.

I saw him wearing a 2 Legit 2 Quit shirt also. I think he might even change his number to 2, and his last name to Legit ala OchoCinco. Guy is the truth.

Cousins looke d like Rex actually. Couusins did okay, didn't burn the house down. Rex has some alright games, but he alwyas gets 2 interceptions in there and loses.

If the problem is Griffins attitude, firing the Shanahans and replacing him with a less accomplished head coach and offensive staff isnt going to do a damn thing to help him be a better quarterback.

Id trade Griffin for a top 10 pick if i could get it and feel like i got a steal. I know we invested alot in him, but right now he does not have the skillset, desire, or attitude to show he's worth that investment. On the flipside, Cousins, while having less athletic ability, appears light years ahead of Griffin in mechanics, decision making, coachability, and leadership. Sometimes its best to cut your losses and move on.

Basically give up RG3 and keep Le Fleur and Little Shanny? These offensive inexperienced guys are amateur hour when it comes to NFL offenses. If a second year player could come in and disrupt your organization then that in it's self is a big enough reason you should be fired. It means you do not have the aptitude for the job.

On ESPN980 today, Schefter confirmed that RGII is campaigning to have Snyder hire Briles. Schefter also said RGII is on the sidelines during alot of games. Why the frack Shanahan allows that is beyond me.

Interestingly, Schefter said that Shanahan wants to sit down with Snyder after the season and express his desire to stay, but only if he has has the power "to start the best players." Shanahan's contract already gives him that power, and Schefter said, to his knowledge, Snyder has never tried to meddle or tell Shanahan who to play. Schefter strongly insinuated that, if he were to stay, Shanahan would have a QB competition. If RGIII won, he'd be the starter. If Cousins won, he'd be the starter. Schefter also indicated that, had Cousins not suffered an injury in the preseason, Shanahan would have started him week 1, since he was more prepared than RGIII, who had missed the offseason. Although RGIII was medically cleared to play, Shanahan had doubts that he was "football ready."

Now we all know that Schefter gets his info directly from Shanahan, and Shanahan wouldnt tell Schefter these things unless he wanted Schefter to report them. Seems pretty obvious to me that Shanahan believes in Cousins more than he believes in RGIII. Ultimately, it seems, whether Shanahan stays or goes will depend on whether or not he beleives more in Shanahan as a coach with Cousins as his QB or an entirely new offensive staff with RGIII at QB.

Personally, I think a Shanahan/Cousins combo gives us a much better chance to win than a RGIII/Briles/Gruden/whoever combo.

The second year player is a diva franchise quarterback. If he chooses to be disruptive, its not like you can just cut him like you could any old scrub. I'm sorry, but if even half the reports i've read about RGIII's diva attitude are true, i want nothing to do with him. His "potential" isn't worth the distraction when you've got a very talented NFL QB in Cousins on the roster.
