punch it in 12-11-2013, 03:46 PM Edit. SBXVII 12-11-2013, 03:46 PM can someone post the Mike presser when its over? thanks ahead of time Don't know if MS stays nor not but he says the decision to bench RG3 was an agreement between Snyder, Allen and himself. All had to be in agreement and if anyone didn't agree he would keep RG3 on the field. So it doesn't sound like Snyder is pissed that RG3 is being benched. Said 2 years of no preseason work is detrimental to a QB. Said that was the reason for benching RG3 cause RG3 can't afford to get hurt again or worse and miss all offseason a second time. Any chance, any at all, Snyder, Allen, and Shanahan are all on the same page and not as upset as the media is playing this BS? Any chance we fans are getting all worked up over nothing? and MS comes back next year for his final year? I mean if you know your on the verge of getting fired you don't talk like there might be an extension coming ... right? Sounds like the powers that be sat down and talked about some stuff. Wonder if MS will get his final year to right this ship or be sent packing. SBXVII 12-11-2013, 03:48 PM I actually think Shanahan did exceptionally well in the conference today. He seemed honest and forthright. He said Dan was 100% behind the decision to bench RGIII. He also admitted he made a mistake for not pulling him from the Seattle game. To be completely honest, im starting to think there is a chance (although not a overwhelming one) that Shanahan comes back next year. Yea I got the same feeling. Which is why I kept telling people to stop getting their panties in a bunch. I thought MS did very well in the presser. Why I continue to be a fan of this circus is beyond me. punch it in 12-11-2013, 03:50 PM I actually think Shanahan did exceptionally well in the conference today. He seemed honest and forthright. He is admitting fault about the Seattle game now just to back up his benching of RG-3. It is all a chess match now between him and Snyder and there is 7 mill on the line. DynamiteRave 12-11-2013, 03:51 PM Yes Rave, next year is thee defining year. On a side note last year wouldnt count as a strike..... You're right. I thought about that after I posted. I'd say next year is going to be a big deal, if he has a down year, we need to start thinking about other options. But a lot of it is going to depend on if we get significant upgrades at certain positions. MTK 12-11-2013, 03:52 PM Not buying anything Shanny says at this point. over the mountain 12-11-2013, 03:53 PM No. MUST READ: Mike Shanahan’s Brilliant Last Act by KC Clyburn - Hogs Haven (http://www.hogshaven.com/2013/12/9/5191564/must-read-mike-shanahans-brilliant-last-act-by-kc-clyburn) [/I] im gonna nit-pic here. i dont know why the article said shanahan was a large reason for the skins getting the cap penalty. the cap penalty/violation was for the structure of the contract vinny had AH and hall sign so i dont really know why that is put at shanahan's feet. the violation came at the time of signing, which was on DS and vinny's watch. just nit-picking though. im looking forward to watching mike's presser once it is up. sounds like he has gone full asshole but im gonna wait to watch and make up my own mind SBXVII 12-11-2013, 03:53 PM Seriously? We give up all those picks and we're ready to delegate RG3 to backup duty or trade bait if Cousins is better? RG3's defining year is next year, not this year. You get 3 strikes before you're out. Look, I want the best product on the field. If it's Cousins then guess what... I want Cousins starting. If its RG3 then I want RG3 starting. I'll admit RG3 has the best "POTENTIAL" but if he's not living up to that potential then I'll take Cousins. I could care less about all the picks given up for any QB or the amount of money being tossed to either. punch it in 12-11-2013, 03:54 PM Not buying anything Shanny says at this point. How anybody is is beyond me. This is all about money and being fired with or without cause. His contract says he has total control and if Snyder overrides his decision to bench Griff than Shanny will want to walk with his money. |
