Plenty of "legal" hits draw flags. If that was a WR getting blown up over the middle they would have ran out of flags to throw. A punter gets his jaw broken, which obviously means there was helmet contact to his chin area, and no flag?

Perfectly legal hit. The punter was going to the ball carrier.

Actually it wasn't a legal hit, the refs just didn't throw the flag on it. A missed call.

Thanks to Dallas, the press have more important thing to talk about than the Skins. Let Jera's boys take the crap this week.

It totally wasn't a legal hit.

It looks as if he is launching himself against a player using the hairline of his helmet. That is against rule 12, section 2, article 8. Plus punters and kickers are considered "defenseless players" at all times following a kick/punt. So that means you can not lead with your helmet against them, unless they are carrying the ball. That is rule 12, section 2, article 9.

Both rules fall under unnecessary roughness and should be a 15 yard penalty, plus the possibility of a fine.

The defender squats down, squares the punter up and drills him. No launching what so ever. The punter was trying to tackle the defender. Good clean football to me. But I'm sure the NFL will think differently and fine the guy.

Perhaps the punters and kickers should just do a sprint over to the sideline after they kick the ball. lol.
