If the Redskins still had their second pick and were unable to find a trade partner to move back who would you want them to select?

Mack. No question. If Mack is taken, then Clowney.

Teddy Bridgewater, of course.

But if he were taken #1overall, it gets a lot tougher. I don't think Bortles, Manziel, or any other QB are worth that high of a pick, so that position is out of the picture. After Bridgewater, Greg Robinson is the next best prospect, but we already have Trent at LT. Khalil Mack is the 3rd best prospect, but then we already have Orakpo and Kerrigan at OLB. Probably would want to take either Robinson or Jadeveon Clowney. I'd be happy with just about any of those top prospects, though.

Don't really think any of the top QBs are anywhere near the BPA. The right team with the right need and has convinced themselves one of the Manziel/Bridgewater/Carr/Bortles is going to be a star could make it happen. Not sure who'd that be though.

If we hadn't made the desean move I'd seriously have considered Watkins. I hate taking WR so early but it's hard to justify some of the other top guys based on our current roster. My guess is they'd go T though and roll.

Sorry, I think I forgot to add that in this scenario everything is the same the lone exception being the price for the Rams #2 pick for RG3 back in 2012 was 2 first rounders instead of 3.

Come to think of it though in spite of Shanahan being a dirty word around here these days we do owe him a lot. He was the one that at least approved the decision to go up and get RG3, though its certainly is possible that it was his idea to begin with.

If you're a cynic you could also argue that his ego which convinced him he could get away with starting John Beck and Rex Grossman allowed us to get within striking distance of RG3.

And if you're a conspiracy theorist then the secret Illuminati/masononic bond of Fischer and Shanahan (http://news.fredericksburg.com/redskinsjournal/2012/09/13/jeff-fisher-mike-shanahan-agree-friendship-played-no-part-in-trade-redskins-rams/) allowed the Redskins to get the RG3 pick instead of the Browns.

I figured most people would just have guessed Greg Robinson [OT AU]. Come to think of it through Mack [OLB Buf] would have been an intriguing pick. Of course the question at that point is where do you play him. On one hand you could argue he's the perfect replacement for Fletcher but then you'd be wasting his talent as a pass rusher playing him inside. Of course in the end that could easily be considered a good problem to have not to mention the depth at Tackle is much better than pass rusher.

Clowney [DE SC] though I don't like because, unlike Mack, you can't really play musical chairs with Clowney. I guess he could play DE though he doesn't really strike me as the JJ Watt type thats happy to work inside and find his way to the QB from there.

Personally though I think my pick if we still had #2 would be Matthews [OT A&M]. Not because I like him more than Robinson but I feel like down the line Robinson would be slightly more likely to want to test free agency in hopes of earning a LT spot and in turn the money that comes with it. Similar to Branden Albert in Kansas City (http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/9124413/branden-albert-wants-answers-kansas-city-chiefs). At the very least I know Matthews was fine playing RT for 2 years while Joekel was on the left side.

Of course thats not to say that Matthews wouldn't also try to pull a Branden Albert in that situation but I'd feel a little more comfortable in our chances of keeping him long term.

You could also argue that since he grew up richer than....well mostly everyone, that he won't holdout for every last cent when his rookie contract is up. After all he went back for his senior year at A&M in spite of being a likely 1st round pick. Then again you could also argue that growing up he became, lets say accustomed, to the finer things in life and will squeeze his benefactors until the eagles on the back of their quarters scream.

There's been talk about us taking a RB, Charles Sims or Marion Grice watched Utube on the both of them tough decision like Grice a little bit more than Sims but he has an injury background.

I know the guy has problems but I like Colt Lyerla maybe a 6th rd pick on him.

CB Bradley Roby arrested on suspicion of DUI. Maybe drops him further? He didn't have a good 2013.

On 2nd look- the incident is nothing. He measured .008- well below the .08 legal limit.
