Oh to trip back on memory lane. I still wish after Gibbs retiring we made G Williams HC and Saunders asst HC offense and let him run the offense exclusively, choosing who starts between JC and Todd Collins.
Maybe not a long term solution with Vinny still in the picture but I would put that coaching staff against anything we've had since.
yeah and we would have been the bounty gate team.

Exactly, trading one debacle for another.

I think it's super naive to think G Williams is the only or eve last coach to do it. But whatever. People love bandwagons.

At least our D would have been hitting people. Now they are borderline matadors.

D would be legitimate top 10 and offense wouldn't be far behind. Collins and Saunders tore it up for the 2nd of the '07 season. If it wasn't for a million dropped passes and Rogers hoofs in the Seattle playoff game that team had a high ceiling. If there was a strong argument for continuity, it was '07-'08. Can't say the same about today on any level. That says a lot.

It's hard to argue the point about changing the defense. It is obvious that hasn't worked out at all.
I would say a close second is bringing in his son to be the OC. I can understand why he did it as a father, but not as the head coach...
So if you believe that bringing in Kyle was a mistake, then it can be argued that he has made poor decisions with all three coordinators: Offense, Defense and Special Teams...

Just because I'm a stickler for these playoff games (which I think we both should have won)
2005 was when Rogers dropped that pick 6, which would have put us up 10-0 early.
2007 we were down 13-0, scored real quick twice in the 4th quarter to go up 14-13, then they screwed up that kickoff; and Sean (FN!) Suisham missed a extra point length field goal which I'm still angry about to this day; lost all momentum and we some how lost by 21, 35-14 in a game that was way closer than that score would indicate.
2012 was when we set this franchise back 3 years.

Cofield is the problem? Really?
IMO he is part of the problem as he would be better suited to play DE in the 3-4 and would allow for a true monster space eating NT, which he is not . . .
Depends on what type of 3-4 you want. Not everyone has a monster in the middle.
