We had been pretty healthy this year, but this one is going to hurt the passing game. A passing game that needed all the help it could get.
Good news is it opens up a spot in the starting lineup for someone to contribute and establish themselves in the receiver rotation.

Hopefully they move Moss back to the Z, and put Williams in at Slot.

Too bad for Hank. That's 2 of his 3 seasons ending in injuries, both times when his play was coming on strong. I would like to see Robinson get more touches. I think he earned that chance with his play against Philly.

Well, while it sucks, if he works hard on recovering, he could well positioned going into year 4 of his career. If not, he won't make it out of camp. Given what he's shown, there is simply no reason he can't be a solid No. 2 for us next year - depending on how dedicated he is in the offseason. From what I have seen, he has the talent to be a really high end No.2 WR in this league - possibly a low-end No. 1 but not too sure about that.
Really, I see this as Robinson's opportunity to really seize the moment. "Okay Aldrick, here is your six game audition. Run the routes, catch the ball, play in the NFL. If you don't, have a nice day." Given the circumstances/opportunity being presented to him, this is a make or break time. If he can't be a reliable No.2 or No.3 WR now, on a depleted roster in need of a solid alternative to a talented No. 1 WR (i.e. -- we don't need you to be a playmaker, just a guy who cannot be ignored), he won't be anything but low-end camp roster fodder in the NFL for a couple years, then gone.
I don't see Santana going into the Z ... he is not the burner he was. Santana, much as I have appreciated him over the years, is done after this year. Just don't see him coming back. He'll probably catch on somewhere for a couple of seasons where a young talented corp could use some veteran leadership. Keep him in the slot, give RGIII a veteran's veteran and safety valve. At the end of the season, say thank you and we wish you the best.
Morgan had his opportunity, I had high hopes but, while an NFL player, I just don't see him as an everydown No. 2. Solid 3-5, yup. Good blocker, moderate speed and hands but little to no explosion or ability to separate on talent.
Williams should get some play at the slot ... just to see what he's got. I am sure he is a quality, workmanlike guy with a modicum of talent which he will work hard to maximize. At the same time, pretty sure there is a reason he was undrafted and not signed off our PS by somebody. He's strikes me as the kind of guy you want on your team -- you just don't want a whole team of him. Think Reed Doughty on offense.

This is Aldrick's opportunity to become the #2.
Don't like Hank being out...wow 2 of his 3 seasons ending in injury....hate that for Hank
BUT, good opportunity to see who else in the "stable" can play
Next man up!
Sucks for Hank. He needed all the playing time he could get.

As a result, Lance Lewis has been called up to the 53 man roster
