While what Gibbs 2.0 did was wrong, none of that has any bearing on what is going on here. If JG did a better job of drafting in those years, we would possibly have some stud vets still here now from those drafts, but we don't.

Shanahan asked for 5 years and made tons of other silly demands that were met. It's been 4 years, this team is spinning tires going uphill and we can all see it. I don't like Dan Snyder at all but I fully understand his frustration.

I think the Shanahan's are definitely overrated as coaches now, but when the owner has the coach out on a limb in trying to handle a big ego, that does tend to undermine the whole enchilada. RG III will be a bust, not because he isn't talented per say, but because by the time the franchise builds a real team around him, he will have bolted already. Also, the new HC might "Ramsey" RG III.
