I must have missed the winning he did here? In all fairness Goat has hated Shanny since I have been on the Warpath and that was well before his lone win streak. I know its everyones worse nightmare to admit that he was rite about Shanny, but he was. Lol. There are alot of people on that bus now, and if I hear one more thing about what he was up against Im going to explode. We have an entire thread about mistakes he has made here. This team is worse rite now than it was four years ago and the 36 million dollars that would have upgraded maybe 6-8 players on the current team (provided Shanny hit on them all - which is laughable considering the other moves he made) would not change that imo. It is a mess, and he is the captain of the mess. He had some great years in Denver, but in DC he has failed miserably. I am having a rather tough time understanding why anyone wants to defend him in the slightest? That probably has alot to do with the fact that since our last clusterfuck of a game I am realizing I have about 10 months until the Skins play a meaningful game again. Ugghh.
Edit: Goats love for Jabar Gaffney has always puzzled me, but his desire to see Mike pack his bags is reasonable beyond belief.
I'm good with another year of MS..

How is the team worst right now than when Zorn left? Have people forgotten how much of a joke and a mess this team was under Zorn/Cerrato?
I swear, sometimes I feel some people here are rooting for the team to fail so they can say they were right.
I've said he was a good player for us since late last season (with some occasional drops and stupid plays like kicking the fucking football into the stands for penalties etc etc). And his name in American is Peter Boy. It's not derogatory. Savvy?
Attaching boy to anyone's name is derogatory.

Um.....we are 3-9 and we have what might be thee worst defense in Redskins history? How are we not worse unless you judge the success of our team on something based other than wins and losses?
Do you really think I root against the Redskins? Lol.
This team is still a mess and a joke. We would be in the running in a very strong way for the number one overall pick if we had one. Maybe people just cannot admit that Cerrato leaving did not make everything roses here. Dude sucked, but nothing has changed. Sad but true.

A lot has changed, but understandably the fans just want to know wins and losses.

To be honest. Nothing to help Shanahan because the record is what it is. Although, Im not sure of any coach that would of been very successful in the past 3-4 years here.

Matty, you're missing it here. Pierre garçon (French) literally translates into Peter Boy. It's his name lol.

Very tough to see any quantifiable improvement. Still very little depth, pretty terrible drafting record overall. I would even say Mikes done a worse job managing the roster/team assets than he previous couple predecessors. So you're stuck with esoteric things like culture as improvements, but that's hard to buy into because team discipline sucks and preparedness sucks.
I have no doubt Mike and Kyle talk a good game with the insiders. But what specifically is improved with respect to the team?? Would Vinny not have been able to pull off the RG trade for example? And as part of the comparison we have to acknowledge the defense would be better with basically any other coaching/mgmt in place here...

This conversation, as most with you, will go in circles. So let's just move on

I would like to believe that something positive has come of his tenure here. Not sure how that will ever be evident. I mean if he leaves and than good things happen under the new regime, is it going to be easy to trace aspects of that success back to him?
Edit: yeah....moving on. Wrong thread anyway.....
