Because at this point it's pile on. Why RG3, why not someone else? Keep kicking people when their down while not looking at the big picture. Respect it if you want
Negativity sells. Pure fact of the matter.

We would all be wearing Brady shirts.
and no one would have a Heath Shuler shirt in the back of their closet.

Quick question. Who would you rather have? RG3? Or ...Russell Wilson, Luke Kuechly and Kyle Long?
.....OR, RGIII and a freakin' better defense.

With the caveat that Griffin left some plays on the field -- None more painful than the painful fourth down conversion -- I thought Griffin was pretty good at Philly. I liked his decisiveness and quick decision making, and thought his knee looked really explosive for the first time since last season. The extra gear was there.
He showed an agressiveness and an ability to extend plays and give receivers a chance to make the plays to bring the Redskins back down 24 in the fourth quarter.
He's still a mechanical mess, but part of the problem is there is no sense of timing with him and his receivers, particularly once Hankerson and Reed were out. He double clutches a lot part because he's working with subpar teammates and part because he simply hasn't repped the passing plays enough to understand where the holes in the coverage will be.
Griffin has the skill necessary to create space to throw the ball, but the problem is that his internal clock is a bit fast at times (sometimes slow at others) and he is not always creating space to throw. Sometimes he is just speeding up his motion (try's to set his feet and throw at the same time) to get the ball out, and that's when he drops his elbow and the ball sails on him.
He's better from the muddied pocket than he was at this time last year, but the mechanical flaws he showed last season are still not fixed (which the coaches share blame for), and he's picked up a few bad habits (which is as much about the lacking talent around him as anything).
It may take multiple years to get Griffin to a point where he's not leaving plays on the field. I don't think he's close to resolving that. But as far as the big plays that powered last years offense returning...I think we're close to seeing that.
