htownskinfan 11-17-2013, 06:21 PM I quit watching early in 2nd qtr, couldnt take it anymore. That throw griffin made in the first qtr to a WIDE OPEN tight end was not even close,Tim Tebow could have completed that pass,Griffin is just not right.
Turned game back on just in time to see Robinson make td catch, which I think was more great adjustment by him more than a good pass.
This team is just bad the whole way around with a few exceptions,Garcon and Morris being excluded
skinsfan69 11-17-2013, 06:26 PM 1. RG3was not very good most of the day. His pocket presence is terrible, learn how to climb the damn pocket instaed of doing a back peddle. Also missed easy routine throws. Foles was the better QB. He regressed today.
2. Kyle don't let the door hit you in the back. 2 man routes don't work this year. Adjust your damn gameplan. And when you have 2nd and 5 near the goalline when Morris is running the ball...don't take him off the field you idiot! You've done that two weeks in a row. Piss poor coaching there. Keep running the ball! ...or leave him on the field so the threat is there.
3. For all you stat experts, we gained 430 yards! Woo hoo! Hidden in that is the offense scored 3 points in 4 quarters, going back to Minnesota. That's great offense though!
4. What is wrong w/ putting Santana back to field punts? Are you coaches so fucking stupid that you put a practice squad rookie back there over Moss when your season is on the line? Again, horseshit coaching!
5. Can the coaches on defense teach the defense how to tackle? Wrap up and tackle? This has been going on all year! Football 101.
6. Whoever the new coach is, I hope he comes in here and makes everyone ( outside of Morris, Garcon and Williams) earn their damn jobs. See who wants today football.
The Goat 11-17-2013, 06:26 PM The commentators did a very good job explaining the impact of the cap penalty. We all know it hurt our FA opportunities a ton, but I'm not sure a lot of football fans get it. But the other side of the coin, also said during the game, is we didn't help ourselves by trading so many draft picks. The RG trade may not have been the right move given our circumstances, but I still say there's solid talent here on both sides of the ball, though very limited depth at too many positions.
But all the circumstances don't account for Mike and co fielding an unprepared, undisciplined and uncompetitive team. He's gotta go. Personally I would send him packing now and give the reigns to Raheem, just as a matter of principle.
over the mountain 11-17-2013, 06:31 PM Great strategic move by RG3 to avoid taking the sack by nonchalantly lobbing a game-ending interception instead.
really disappointed in rg3 for that. as a qb you have to know time, down and distance. he had plenty of time on the clock, had to know its was 3rd not 4th down and they only needed 2-3 yards for a first (so throwing it away wasnt the end of the world).
i honestly think rg3 was physically and mentally tired after a long game and a long drive and just chucked it up there. i think he kinda gave up with a down to go. really really disappointed in him. once rg3 quits, this team is truly done. he didnt quit today but i sensed he was close to throwing his hands up in the 3rd quarter. glad he didnt.
sidenote - rg3 has been bailed out multiple times by our wide receivers on long balls he puts up there as 50-50s. hes been more lucky than good on longballs this year imo. the robinson one is just another to add to the stack of luck on his part.

He pointed several drafted players though. Those players out played our guys, particularly Foles. He outplayed our QB. End of discussion.
Look, I know the cap has hurt us some but we have several free agents on the team that aren't any good. Morgan didn't even dress! That laughable to me. After signing Garçon, how about looking for a linemen to help pass protect? I blame the people who pick the players more than the cap hit. That falls on the head man.
RedskinRat 11-17-2013, 06:35 PM i must admit i was guilty of checking the es gamethread from time to time today <snip>
you've been cheating on us!!!!!!!!!
KI Skins Fan 11-17-2013, 06:44 PM fans - skins fans truly are the most fickle bangwagonish fans in the nfl.
Clearly, you have been in Baltimore too long. Those annoying Ratbird fans must have finally brainwashed you.
HailGreen28 11-17-2013, 06:48 PM I know a lot of people are saying Shanny should be either cut now or extended.
I say keep him next season. What others call "lame duck" I call "contract year".
Mike's done a lot of good on O. Found good replacements for Chris Samuels, Clinton Portis, and Chris Cooley. Upgraded the QB, WR, and OL.
Defense and special teams are a dumpster fire. I feel so foolish now having argued when Shanny came on board that the 3-4 would be good for us. Not saying a 3-4 isn't as good as a 4-3, but it hasn't worked for us so far. And let Haslett walk this offseason please.
Won't be sad to see Shanny go if we don't make the playoffs next season (or miraculous run this season). I think Kyle's been good, RG3 just wasn't elite like he's capable of playing. Though I really wanna know what the relationship between he and each Shanahan really is.
Today was a disaster. Everybody at fault (except TW, Alfmo, Garcon, our DL, and a few others I missed. I only blame RG3 too because I saw him play much better last season.). If this keeps up, can every coach, but I'm inclined to think just burn this game tape and move on.

lol i grew up in moco right outside DC and i love baltimore and the people. i absolutely hate DC and the people there. the two cities and the people couldnt be more different.
one is blue collar with multiple generation deep roots and tradition. the other is a bunch of transplants and rich people with their windows rolled up.
as an eastern shore person im sure youd love and associate with the people of baltimore much more than the DC elitest. funny though, most skins fans arent from actual DC. there gaithersburg or NOVA .... i digress im talking to much

I would be careful of firing Mike mid season. I think Dan has finally showed patience with a head coach and it could send a bad message to potential candidates in the future if he does pull the plug before the end of the season. I understand frustration but a HC change isn't going to turn a season around. The next question I have is who is going to want to HC without the 1st rounder in the draft? I don't know if it will make a difference.
