Nobody is saying our pass protection isnt shit. It is shit. It is thee stinkiest shit you can imagine.
However, talking about that Paulsen throw....he missed - bad. Plain and simple.
He missed, because Paulsen slowed down, and he couldn't set his feet while being pushed back.
Look.. RG3 misses throws. I wont defend him when it's his fault. His biggest miss throw wasn't even the Paulsen throw. It was missed throw down the sideline to Moss in the 4th Q. Even though moss was held a bit, he needs a catch-able ball for the WR there. Its the same play that Kyle screamed "fuck" on live television lol
BUT! you guys are wrong about this Paulsen throw. Point blank wrong. Wasn't 100% his fault.
He initiates his drop, has to reset his feet to the left, when he does the Tackle pushes the guard in to him. Making him throw off his backfoot and attempt a 20 yard throw.
Edit :I'm not a coach, but I honestly don't think our pass protection would be that bad if we rolled the front line like we did last year. I'm not talking about the RO. I'm talking about mixing in more of the traditional offense the run with Cousins. It's been our most effective offense scheme, yet we seem determined in continuing drop back passes from the RO/PA and pistol.
