It been slow since the owners meetings have started and I wanted to talk about possibilities for our team.

First lets discuss Chris Terry, I know what most of you are going to say "he's not a Gibbs guy, he'd cost way to much". But I chose to disagree, One thing I learned this offseason is it seems teams are less willing to deal with players with bad egos, and off field problems, or other bs, so with him what has happened in Seattle may make his price go down alot. After seeing Jansen go down last pre-season I feel like I would like to sign a talent guy to back up Jansen, so that the team doesn't miss a beat losing any of our linemen during the year.

Second thing is the Courting of C.Brown, No one knows where the hell he's going and he's seems to be looking for either, one a big pay day, two a starting role, or three a combination of the two. This seems like the best situation for him in Washington but u know if he can't see him oh well we don't need him that much. Long as we don't over pay I don't mind if he comes here or not.

Third the draft, who should we get, I came up with a new possibility for the skins in the first. we trade down and get a second, with our later first round pick up sign Shawne Marrimen of Maryland he's vesitile can play Lb/ and Dend , a local guy, and would fit nicely in our defense. in the second round pick a wideout, and the third a corner.

I think Merriman is a potential top half pick. I don't know we'd have much of a chance at him in the late first round.

I almost forgot tim hasselbeck, very quiet as kept he is being persued by teams intrested in him, well if by chance he leaves who would you like to see come here. Me it would be chang from hawaii. He'll be there later in the draft day and he has the skills to build on. God forbid we lose Tim but what are our options if we do?

Would you draft him? Or do you have someone else in mind?

He comes across as somewhat limited to me. He was a good college player on a so-so defense so that probably elevated hima bit. His workouts I guess have been stellar and I am wary that he is a workout warrior type of guy. He seems over valued in the top half of the draft to me. I'd take in around 20 or so. He will go higher apparently.

Erasmus James seems like the highest risk/reward player in the draft. He is clearly the most talented defensive lineman in the draft and would be a top 10 pick if not for the injury history. I'd take him also around 20 if available. I doubt he'll be there.

Courtney Brown changed his mind about signing with us or DEN. I don't feel good about that. He's not even confident that he'll stay healthy. It should be obvious that the best career decision would be to sign with us. The best financial situation must be elsewhere. Don't up your bid Snyder!

I think it would be a waste to draft Merriman for the simple fact that he's undersized and could not be used as a full time DE. As a full time OLB, who's spot is he going to take? His mentor, Lavar Arrington's or Pro Bowler Marcus Washington's? The guy we take in ther 1st round has to contribute more than that. I do like the idea of help on the DL. How about Shaun Cody or Matt Roth as a late 1st rounder? :oink:

I believe his versitility would do us well because we have a system where we rotate players and he would rotate like Lavar from the OLB position to the dend position and then a rest period. Another option is Marcelus Wiley, I know he played for the boy and sucked, but he was a beast in San Diego and maybe the cowboy system just didn't work for him. He may even come cheap.

I am not all for drafting a DE, but Merriman is going to be a force in the NFL, he's not undersized anymore his combine weight was 273lbs., and at 6'4" that's a nice sized defensive end, and with his body type he could still add more weight without losing much speed and agility, he's defiently an end, I will tell you what I don't want to see him in Dallas under Parcell's that would spell a lot of problem's for our QB, and I believe that is exactly where he is going to winde up at the 11th pick.
