I just heard on cold pizza that they (in the nfl meetings) actively discussing changing pass interference to 15 yard penalties as is done in college ball.
Since we had at LEAST two 45+yard penalties this season, i'm all for it.

An article on ESPN.com said the Chiefs would be introducing a proposal to roll back the Illegal contact rules they started applying last year and change the PI rules to a 15 yarder instead of the spot foul. It said it would get discussed but go nowhere since the competition commitee loves the increased offense. Usually the owners just follow the advice of the competition commitee.

The rule change I heard was 15 yards for most PI calls but spot foul if the ref determines that it is intentional.
Clayton on ESPN said he did not think the rule would pass as the owners are happy that the stricter calls on contact have resulted in more open passing games. Don't know if this was just his opinion or if he was reporting what owners had said to him.

That's exactly what is needed. More judgement calls for the incompetent offcials to make. They can't even identify PI half the time now. How are they supposed to judge whether it was intentional? What constitues intentional? I mean how many times does a guy get accidently interferred with?

same thing I was thinking and if fans thought some refs were biased before, that rule would allow for more of the same. I like the idea of going with the same type of rule as in college, because as we saw in that cowpie game, one bogus PI call can really f you up.

It would be nice for us because overall we got more calls agaisnt us than for us, by a long shot. However, our receivers never got past the 5 yard line so it was hard to get a PI called.
I think they should keep it the same but make it challengable.

Thats excactly how the rule should be. I am 100% behind this. If someone tackles someone in the endzone, then yes; it should be a spot of the foul. Now I think PI should be a spot of the foul call if there wasent so much bad officiating. Therefore I think the most logical way to do it; is as stated above. I like this.
