I just read this on the washington post site.

"Broncos cornerback Champ Bailey, a Redskin from 1999 to 2003, apparently made a sales pitch over the phone for Brown to sign with Denver. Bailey wasn't pleased with Washington when he departed and likely didn't have good things to say about the Redskins' operations"

Champ is really starting to piss me off. First he was in Fred's ear trying to get him not to re-sign, now he is doing the same thing with Courtney Brown. I wonder if he had anything to do with Pierce not giving us a chance to sign him. I think Champ is just pissed off because he left and our defense got BETTER. I hope we get Brown even more now just to rub it in his face.

F Bailey!! All I gotta say is: You have champ bailey at one ear on the phone and you have the legendary Joe Gibbs sitting in front of you eating his salad during dinner....who are YOU going to listen to?? If Brown ends up in Denver because Bailey has something negative to say about the Redskins family (which has been drastically reformed since his departure) then we don't need him here, simply as that.

Well, we had Noble and Daniels talk to Brown too. We also have Arrington and his cousin, Pierson Prioleau, (perhaps a calculated move on part of the Skins to entice Brown?) on the team.

Face it if I was Champ Bailey I would be pissed at how the Redskins had a different head coach each year I was there. I know SS was there for two, but still the guy had to learn a new system all together. Then he is probably pissed about us tagging him and then sending him to a cold weather team when he wanted go play for the Falcons in that nice comfy dome.

F. Bailey. I like that statement too.

Hopefully our guys will tell him how it is now and that Mr. Gibbs is for real.

I thought it was great when he was torched on national telivision by Jerry Porter in that oakland game. They left him in the dust (or in his case, snow)!

Yeah, I have to say I was real pissed hearing this. If this was an isolated incident, I would say "Oh well, he's just trying to help out his team," but after the Smoot situation I have had enough of his nonsense. What an asshole.

In any case, he could try to sell Brown on the poor quality of the Redskins organization, but we have a Hall-of-Fame coach running the show, while his new team lost a 3rd round draft pick due to trying to cheat the salary cap! He may not be as successful as he hoped in screwing the Skins this time.

There's a difference between trying to improve the team you are on, and trying to f--- your old boss. If Bailey tells Brown to come to Denver, he can smack-talk us all he wants. When he's in Smoot's ear - even though Smoot has no chance of going to Denver - he's just being a prick.

Smoot called him! They're still friends, it happened during the season, too. JESUS! Champ didn't want to be here. Move on.

That's alright...we play Denver this year and we'll put Champ in his place.
