I think it was our offer- He was given all immunity and power, something he didn't have in Denver. Mike essentially is the boss of BAllen in that Mike has final say. Mike is also the highest paid coach in the league. He wants to get into the HOF. He also has been dragging his son along with him the entire since the days of Denver (I saw little Kylie on the sidelines during the Super Bowl). Mike is simply taking everything that is being given to him and laughing behind closed doors.

Wow a parent takes their kid to what could be the highlight of their career? Now I've heard everything! Way to take the job seriously there Shanny! How dare he want his family to enjoy in his success?!?!

I wonder if Dungy would be willing to listen to an offer.

THIS. All day long, THIS.

I'm not crazy about replacing our "message hasn't been effective in a decade" coach with another coach who is going to have to struggle through the same thing.

A lot of the best coaching talent is in the college ranks right now, but I wouldn't mind bringing a coach back for a second tour as head coach as long as it's the right fit. No more than 4 seasons as a HC and recent employment (and success) with an NFL team are some simple qualifications to look for.

Shopping in the failure bin could be a wise move, as long as it's a relatively short track record of losing, and not a career-long epidemic.

I had them at 7-9 or 8-8 before the season, I just don't see how people think this team had the talent to contend.

I don't have a preference for HC or OC but as DC I would love for Kevin Greene to come here.

Isn't Dungy on the name change bandwagon? It's hard to see someone coming here when they aren't supportive of an organization because of its' name.

I guess because the same team won 10 games last year and we were getting some injured players back.

Sorry Tony, you're a good dude but you'll have to mind your own...Bees wax.
When Dan calls soliciting my opinion, I'll have to vote No.......

Seems like the college HCs who go straight to pro HCs bust about half the time? But then you look at the NFC west.

Speaking of NFCW how do you evaluate Fisher so far?

I wish Mike would take initiative though. Replace Haslett with the best DC available even if he runs a 4-3. Replace Kyle with the best up and coming OC, including college coaches. Show the players you will choose team over nepotism an they might come around.

On the other hand when you're the 2nd worst team in the worst division in pro football (5-14 against non division opponents) and you've had basically total control the last four years, it's hard to argue you deserve another year.
