More Renovations On the Way for FedEx?SmootSmack 10-07-2013, 03:39 PM Redskins might get NFL funds for $27 million FedEx Field renovation (http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/football-insider/wp/2013/10/07/redskins-might-get-nfl-funds-for-27-million-fedex-field-renovation/) Chico23231 10-07-2013, 03:44 PM Save the money and just build the new stadium in the heart of Skins country, Richmond Va MTK 10-07-2013, 03:45 PM Only seems fair to get part of that $36M back in some way. Ruhskins 10-07-2013, 03:45 PM Wonder if Mara will come up with some bs excuse to prevent this. Green Monk Machine 10-08-2013, 09:31 AM Save the money and just build the new stadium in the heart of Skins country, Richmond Va When does FedEx field contract last to-2025? New renovations would be nice. Is it necessary or take what you can get and never turn down free money? TheGuyFromOverThere 10-08-2013, 03:26 PM Half-related question: Why does FedEx Field not have a roof? I´m not talking dome here, just a roof for the fans and open air for the players. Is that a typical american thing? Open or dome? Cause here in Germany you mostly have roof for the stands, open above the field and I´m pretty used to it. It´s also quite good for getting loud. dmek25 10-08-2013, 03:45 PM owners getting millions...free money for guys that are super rich? whats wrong with this picture? MTK 10-08-2013, 03:46 PM ^ It's called shared revenue. Something that works quite well for the league. ArtMonkDrillz 10-08-2013, 04:04 PM ^ It's called shared revenue. Something that works quite well for the league.Righto. And if I'm reading this article (http://www.csnwashington.com/football-washington-redskins/talk/fedex-field-will-receive-27-million-renovations)correctly, the team isn't really getting money, per se, the FO just will get to keep more of their own revenue. To pay for the renovation, the Redskins will receive a waiver of the premium seating revenue it normally pays to the league and other teams. FRPLG 10-08-2013, 10:57 PM free money? It's money their league earned...nothing free about it. |
