When does FedEx field contract last to-2025? New renovations would be nice. Is it necessary or take what you can get and never turn down free money?

Half-related question: Why does FedEx Field not have a roof? I´m not talking dome here, just a roof for the fans and open air for the players.

Is that a typical american thing? Open or dome? Cause here in Germany you mostly have roof for the stands, open above the field and I´m pretty used to it. It´s also quite good for getting loud.

To pay for the renovation, the Redskins will receive a waiver of the premium seating revenue it normally pays to the league and other teams.
