skinsfaninok 10-07-2013, 11:33 AM has anyone seen Sam Bradford's numbers so far? Pretty dang good. skinsfaninok 10-07-2013, 11:35 AM Sources: #Panthers have begun laying groundwork for a possible coaching search, doing background checks on candidates. 1 candidate knows. CultBrennan59 10-07-2013, 11:36 AM Romo forced the throw into traffic with a wide open checkdown guy sitting right there in front of his face. I don't know how it can be seen as anything other than a mistake on his part. Exactly. Murray would have gotten a solid 8-10 yards at least on that play. They had about 2 minutes to go down and score--didn't have to be a TD, and Romo threw it to a guy 20 yards downfield trying to get downfield quicker. Stupid. You take what the defense gives you. It's what Brady manning Rodgers and Brees do all the time. You go underneath until the defense tries to take it away, which is then when you go over top and get the huge yards then. Patience. Those QBs have it. Romo doesn't. Evilgrin 10-07-2013, 11:43 AM Quick flip, bad mechanics sorta indicate that he wasn't sure about it but felt pressure. skinsfaninok 10-07-2013, 11:44 AM In all fairness guys Manning threw a INT late in the game as well, and it was a bad throw. It happens, Romo is just always dogged more than other, y are Jay Cutler and Eli Manning not getting flack for their games as of late? For some reason people just hate Romo skinsfan69 10-07-2013, 11:44 AM Random thoughts from yesterday: Mannings interception occurred not because it was a poor choice, but because the sun got into Deckers eyes. Claiborne was wearing a visor, located the ball and picked it. The giants may get Jedaveon clowney. That would be scary for the NFC East with him and JPP. I think Mannings receiving core is slightly worse than Brady's was back in 2007; goes to show how Peyton's doing with Great players and how Tom did with Great players, if you want to go there in the whole Brady-Manning debate. Matt Schaub is who I thought he was, an overrated system QB. Johnny Manziel would make the Texans a Super Bowl contender next year should he get drafted there. Colin Kaepernick is so overrated. Putting him in the same class as Luck, Wilson and Griffin is like putting Romo in the same class as Brady, Manning, Rodgers and Brees--it's offensive to those great players. The Vikings now have 3 below average QBs on their roster. Sad, because that team has a lot of talent. It's early, and I'm not jumping on the bandwagon yet, but the Saints look like the 2nd best team in the NFC. First would sadly be Seattle, who I think will beat New Orleans head to head in a few weeks when it's played in Seattle. Keep in mind Seattle is without their 3 Key OLineman right now. Little early to call Kaepernick overrated. He was a big part to getting his team to the SB last year and almost winning it. He's had a few sub par games this year... part his own fault, part the offense is missing it's best wr and Davis has been hurt. The same things that are being said about him are being said about RG3. It's just too early to tell. skinsfan69 10-07-2013, 11:48 AM Many records will fall if Broncos continue torrid pace | ProFootballTalk (http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2013/10/07/many-records-will-fall-if-broncos-continue-torrid-pace/) crazy Someone needs to just start blitzing the hell out of Denver... up the middle and knock Manning around a bit, like New England use to do. Play hard press man. Yeah he's going to get his, but letting him sit back there all day is ridiculous. FRPLG 10-07-2013, 11:48 AM Making the right play when it matters most is more important than the rest of the entire rest of the game combined. It becomes a binary situation...execute or lose. None of the stats and great play matter if you cannot execute properly at the most critical time. It has become irrefutable, based on empirical evidence, that Romo cannot get the job done in high-pressure end of game scenarios. I'm not into generalizations but after a while if just becomes fact. Dallas is going to have a near impossible road to hoe trying to win a SB with Romo as QB. mooby 10-07-2013, 11:58 AM I had the G-men getting their first win yesterday. Im shocked right now how bad they are. This might be it for Coughlin, but I've said that before. That Oline is completely eff up. They seriously need to look at 3-4 new starters next year, it needs to be completely rebuilt. Their secondary has always been shakey, but now with them not being able to sustain a pass rush, its going abused left and right. Multiple problems for the giants. I gotta wonder how much the death of Coughlin's brother is affecting his mindstate right now. I can't figure out why they are playing so bad. MTK 10-07-2013, 11:59 AM I gotta wonder how much the death of Coughlin's brother is affecting his mindstate right now. I can't figure out why they are playing so bad. Tune in and watch their OL and DL play. Both lines are horrible. |
