^ But I'll remain optimistic and say 2-2 at the Bye.

The Bye which happened to come at a great time seeing how off we look.

The problem is if rg3 struggles than shanny will be on the hot seat ....yes we won the divison but out of the 4 years as a head coach his win lose season would be 1 out of the 4 seasons and that's not good espically with his resume of bad defense.

If rg3 doesn't improve than that's not good....people also don't point out that he will likely get injured and that alone is a worry!!!.

If kirk starts that's trouble since I believe at this point with all this rg3 rusty stuff would be than our best choice .

I think we lose to detroit and oakland is not a bad team infact they might beat us we are not good against oakland and mcfadden going to have 100 yards could be trouble. I think our first win is against dallas.

If tackling is an issue, there needs to be some major time put into fixing that. They need to focus on the basics again. Tackling, catching, man coverage. In that order. They fixed the (rb) ball protection from last week but they still have these major issues still.

I would make them practice in full pads, full contact. This is a pitiful tackling team.

Are they even allowed to do that at this point? I know every team is at the same "disadvantage" but I think the lack of hitting in training camps is a big reason for a lot of the sloppy play.

Yeah, the Redskins could VERY likely go 0-4 until they show me otherwise. Raiders aren't good, but they can still beat us. Plus Haslett sucks at making a gameplan against a mobile QB.

The Lions, Reggie Bush can break off huge runs against us, and Calvin Johnson makes great secondaries look bad. Plus the Lions have a good front 7 that can shut down our running game making us one dimensional and make Griffin throw the ball out quick.

I think you're right about Haslett against mobile quarterbacks. That might've came into play when they were deciding to a make a deal to try to draft RGIII. Who else would have a greater appreciation for a mobile qb other than a defensive coordinator that has trouble against them?

New NFL rules make it extremely difficult to have full padded practices. Tackling has been bad throughout the league.

Best Defender: In the first half Sunday, it was probably the end zone pylon. After James Jones fumbled the ball late in the half, the pylon cleverly knocked the ball out of bounds, leading to a touchback and saving the Redskins’ defense from more damage. It was a play that came out of nowhere, a play that saved seven points and kept the deficit at least somewhat reasonable at halftime. The pylon didn’t even celebrate its performance, nor did it talk trash to Jones. For its performance, the pylon was given a game ball and offered a special parking space over the next week. Expect a run on “Pylon” jerseys this week. Man, I love that pylon.

This picture sums it up.

I don't think any other team has been blown out by this much in the first half of games because of poor tackling.

I remember that Joe Webb game a few years ago. Ponder gets hurt, you think "oh their backup QB is coming in, we got this." And webb goes out and runs and throws all over us.

that game told me a lot about Haslett. He never adjusted to the player. He kept in his Ponder game plan. He did the same thing when Amedola torched us last year. He doesn't adjust in games.
