Yea no pressure on the QB is a huge factor. You are correct sir.

No pressure, and gaping holes. Again, I just don't get it...

well at least philly and dallas played a competitive game. giants look like we do. terrible.

Right now, Dallas looks like the best of the bunch. I still don't think Philadelphia wins more than 6-7 games... but with the way we look now, we'll be lucky to win 4.

Here's my take:

We should not panic but there are some serious concerns. I figured the Skins would win their first game and lose to the Packers. My fear was not knowing what the Eagles were going to bring to the table. Fear confirmed.

What I was not expecting is the team having to rushing attack and looking as bad as they do in two first half games.

What's looks to be wrong:

1. RG3
2. Coaching
3. Rookies
4. OL

1. RG3- I keep hearing RG3 is 100%. But he's not acting like he's 100%. If he is truly 100% then take the damn knee brace off and lets get back to what this team did last year. The reason that won't happen? RG3 is not 100%. He's at about 85 or 90%. Maybe less. The brace supports the knee so it does not wobble and reinjure him. However the brace also limits his movement and slows him down. So the Shanahan's are trying to turn RG3 into a pocket passer now. I'm cool with it. But ... our opponents are not stupid and even I know the team will not put RG3 in a bad position (running) so they stack the box like they used to do to Grossman and stop the run and force RG3 to beat them through the air. Essentially RG3 is now no better then RG1 he's one dimensional.

Solution? draw up more curl routes, quick slants and out routes and with the out routes add some roll outs with the RB blocking for the QB. Get RG3 out of the pocket so he has better vision of the field and no hands blocking his passes. Whatever happened to the flea flicker? No one seems to use it anymore, was it really that bad? Send a speedy WR on a go route, hand the ball off, and then pass it down field. Oh and I might utilize Cousins if this team simply needs a pocket passer. Plus he's worked with the players all camp and preseason. Atleast until RG3 is healthy enough to run the ball on the option again. I'd also cut Grossman and bring back PW and see how he fairs running the option.

2. Coaching- Abysmal. I always loved Mike Shanahan because he could make some really good in game live adjustments. But the last two games... scripted. No adjustments until after the half. Extremely sad to see. My friend told me the Packers DL was bad. I told him no. The Radio announcers said the DL was great with 3 huge guys to stop the run. It stopped the 49ers run and forced them to beat them through the air. The only open spot was down the middle and the 49ers found it. What did the Redskins do.... tried to force the run all day. Didn't seem to challenge the Rookie back field on go routes or over the middle much. Most of the passes seemed to be with in 20 yrds... RG3 throwing to his check downs.

3. Rookies- This really is not a bad thing starting Rookies cause it gives them OJT, but with out legit help we are going to see the growing pains. We have a Rookie CB, S, and LB all starting together. The bigger issue is the CB and S. That opens up a whole half of a field for the opponent to work with. Back Hall off the WR and tell him to just cover don't jump the ball, allow the Safety to slide over and double the other WR to give the Rookie CB help. Or I could just be all wrong.

4. OL- I'm not sure whats going on here. We had one of the best OL's last year. I assumed it would be as good or better but its a big fail. Why? are they being asked to do something different? Personally I think it has everything to do with RG3. If I'm an opponent I can figure out your not going to have your QB who is not 100% running the ball so all I have to do is stack the box all day and rush the QB in hopes of stopping the run while doing so. I'd force the QB to throw the ball and beat me through the air. Two teams have don't just that. How would I counter? design some more screen passes or WR screen passes to slow the DL down. I'd throw in more slant and curl patterns as well as come back routes. Lastly I'd start figuring out how I could roll RG3 out of the pocket and get him away from the rush so he has open field to pass. RG3 does not have to run the coaching staff just needs to adjust for his limitations now.

Nine wins is the target in the East.

According to the playoff odds reports, Philly is the only team likely to get there.

This is definitely the division to be 0-2 in.

We've been a 7 win per year team in the three years Shanahan has been there. That's the true talent of this team. Two game streaks where we play like a 3-13 team will happen. As will two game streaks where we look like 11-5 and RG3 looks like an MVP. But they'll settle in at 7-9 because that's what they've built.

Well the ghost of piss poor Snyder/Vinny management still haunts this team.

Do you honestly think Fletcher, Polumbus, D Hall and Josh Wilson would be starting on this team if we actually had cap space?

It's a 18 million per year handicap for the most over rated defensive player all-time, Albert Hanyesworth.

It hasnt been an easy build, with no draft picks and cap penalties.

It's really too early for playoff odd predictors. Bottomline is some team is going to have to get on a roll, and stay healthy. Philly's time of possession yesterday was 20 min to SD 40. Their defense won't last at that rate, and regardless of our offensive struggles, isn't that good to begin with. I really doubt Philly will be in the mix at the end.

I understand the worry for RG3 but did most of you know he has a higher QB rating so far than Brees and Kaepernick?

I f i had to bet I'd say Dallas gets in at 9-7 and we finish 8-8

Fred Smoot was asked after the game what our record was going to be this season and he said 6-10. They went through each weeks game. Honestly, I agreed with him.

If nothing changes across the board.

Detroit- Loss
Raiders- Win
Bye
Cowboys- Loss
Bears - Win?
Bronco's- Loss
Chargers- Win?
Vikings- Loss
Eagles- Win
49ers- Loss
Giants- Win
Chiefs- Loss
Falcons- Loss
Cowboys- Win
Giants- Loss

You could flip the Chargers game with the Chiefs if you want or we could lose both who knows.

The team needs to cut Meriweather. He has been doing nothing but collecting a paycheck. First year knee injury, second year knee injury, now concussion. It's time to move on and look to see who else is available on the open market.

It has nothing to do with cap space, those are the veterans who we've chosen to lead this team. If we had not chosen those vets, we would instead have available cap space to bring in others.
