what's wrong with Bowen? He is a solid player, and cheap.
Supposedly, Prioleau's special teams skills had a lot to do with the Redskins signing him. He led the Bills in special teams tackles. The Skins struggled at times in the tackling department on kicks and punts, so I guess they felt they needed a sure tackler out there on 'teams.
Plus, Prioleau has experience in Williams's system, and he has starting experience, so he'll probably give Bowen some stiff competition for the starting spot alongside Taylor.
With Taylor, Bowen, Clark, Prioleau and Lott, the Skins now have excellent depth at safety. Williams uses some 3-safety sets from time to time, so it makes sense to have good depth there.
