I agree about the offense,my main concern is I dont think the defense was tested by those teams

Since the bye week last year, and through the pre-season, the defense really stepped up. My biggest concern is Fletcher getting hurt, because he truly commands the defense on the field, and Merriweather going against the Eagles because the number of snaps they will take will be hard on his recovery. Otherwise, every level of the defense is capable of stopping the threat that the Eagles can bring. Of course they will get a couple big scrambles, and runs by McCoy, and even probably a long one to Jackson, but a consistent offense that matches our points, I don't see it.

It sucks waiting to be one of the last games on week one. Sigh.

I like the odd games at the begining of the season because its still summer and plenty of summer stuff to do. I'm playing golf Sunday which I would not do if the skins had a game.

Once the first football is kicked off on Thursday I'll be entering a Twilight Zone of NFL lunacy. Nothing else matters.

I think it may be worse for me given that when I first got interested in football I was limited to a tiny column of coverage in a British newspaper every week. Never thought I'd live here or go to an actual game. I am a monster.

I have a TV in my garage and on my back porch. I can catch the games on Sunday and still get a few things done around the house. I have to fight the urg to watch college ball because that would kill my weekends. Now if the skins are on the only things that I'll do is grill and drink beer.

Monday night I'll be dedicating my game to 8 year old Tara Sankner battling inoperable astrocytoma. For each touchdown I score I'll be donating $2,500 to her family to help cover the costs of treatment and growing medical bills. That's awesome. C'mon, Eagles, you know what your job here is!

I agree with you. This poster from an Eagles board, however, disagrees. Doesn't the ignorance make you want to barf?

Ignorance is pretty much what I expect from an Iggles fan. Makes you wonder if he even watched any games last year. I mean...we DID win the NFC East last year. Kelly hasn't even won a game in the NFL.

Good catch 53. That Filthy fan completely forgot about last year. I hope he enjoys watching us play on Super Bowl Sunday.
