Nothing a couple of weeks of hard work can't solve. It's a long season. We held on to him this long why cut him now?

Yeah no need to do anything until he is reinstated. It is a free spot so you might as well keep it.

Can the team have any contact with the player just to see what he is doing , basically just checking in to see if he is in shape, healthy, and watching tape? I know in some cases of suspensions they have no contact with the team, but is that for all cases of NFL suspensions?

Having some form of connection with the team for a guy recovering from a true drug addiction may have a positive effect on the players recovery.

It would be nice if Rambo makes us forget about t jax. I'm really liking the improvement over the last couple games. Amerson playing like a badass, I like the foundation in the secondary. We are better than last year talent wise, pass rush better this too, people are gonna sell this defense short maybe too it advantage.

This. Gotta root for a guy name Rambo and it's about time we have starters in the secondary drafted by the current regime.

No contact is allowed

This is going to be a dumb question, but I'm going to ask anyway.

Whats to stop say, Jim Haslett, from going to say Wegmans in Sterling and Tanard Jackson just 'happens to be there' and they see each other in the store. What they can't talk? Who would find out? Why couldn't they do that, or I'm sure some Redskins keep contact with other former players. Whats to stop a current redskin player from calling Tanard to hangout? Or that player arranging a meeting with Tanard and a coach like Raheem or Haslett in a place like a grocery store or restuarant or whatever?

I just find it a bit ridiculous when the NFL says hey you can't have any contact what so ever with this person or else..

The way you are framing it is that its an intentional meeting, which is illegal. Will the NFL find out? Probably not, but that doesnt change whether its allowed or not.

If that would happen by chance, its the coaches/team representatives responsibility to walk away from him.

Just guessing here, but pretty sure T Jax and Haslett don't go grocery shopping, and if they did, not sure if they live in the same neck of the woods.. But seriously - I'd just bet it'd just be extremely rare for these guys to ever meet without advance planning, I'm sure their lives would never intersect.

Of course there are ways around it. Like if Matty bans you and tells me I can't talk to you, but I talk to someone on another message board who tells me he saw you recently and you're eager to get back. But I can't go seeking out this information. And it's understand you don't do that.

And no, a secret meeting at some neutral location is not allowed.

Could they then directly talk to his agent? Granted, he wouldn't be the most reliable source given he has stake in making sure T. Jackson gets back playing again.

Ok, is it one of those 'It doesn't happen' (wink wink) things?

I don't think so. I mean I think it's understood that no they can't talk to his agent about T Jackson. But I don't remember the specifics
