This makes me nervous. When they intend to sign someone before they leave for other visits it probably means they're going to overpay. I mean if you get an offer you think is good enough to not even ask anyone else for I would think it means you've been overpayed. I like a multiyear deal for him but onyl a short one at a value. This does not sound like what is planned.

Star players always have opinions and managment always asks for their views on players they bring in. Why the constant mocking of Lavar? He missed last year due to injury which is rare for him. He has brought attitude and great spped to our team. I assume since you are the great talent evaluator that only your opion is right, right?
Yeah they always at least talk to the guys so they can feel like they are respected and their opinions matter. It doesn't even matter if they heed any advice but guys like Lavar, Ray Ray, Favre, McNabb are in the loop on big decisions.

I'm liking the idea of taking a chance on him. Like I said before, I think it will pay dividends, especially if we are constantly rotating people in and out.

OK I guess I have to spell it out for you, WHO ON EARTH WOULD WANT LAVAR MANAGING THEIR CONTRACT NEGOTIATION'S????????????????????
He can't manage his own contract let alone someone else's, he also has a problem with being told where to play on the field ALA Marvin Lewis putting him at end which turn's out may be the best spot for him, and our scouting department need's his opinion on a player who has already established himself in the NFL?
What's his injury have to do with this? Unless your talking about his concusion? Then I would have to agree with you and give him a pass. :pi_lightb
By the way what's great spped??????
And what's my opion?????
Are those medical term's for sphincter, and colon?

We took a chance on an injury-prone Daryl Gardener and it worked out for us, if only for a year. This guy has a much better attitude.

Here's an interesting link with comments from Kenard Lang on Courtney Brown:

Who said anything about Lavar managing a contract negotiation? I simply said that managment always consults there prime time players before making a move. This is the reality of todays sports stars.
I will refrain from insulting you as you constantly feel the need to show that insults are the best way in a disagreement. I just do not understand why you have a thing for a player who is loved by many.

I agree CRT3, that players should be consulted about incoming players if AND ONLY IF they have previously played with that player. LaVar thinks he should have personel decesions which is laughable. Asking him about Brown I'm fine with because he played with him, and they made each other look better, however someone he doesn't know. Stick to that.
GMs stick to scouting.
Coaches stick to coaching.
Players stick to playing.
--That's how it should be!
When did LaVar say he wanted a say in personnel decisions, and what sort of context was it in??
I see people mentioning it from time to time, I've just never seen it or heard it for myself.
