PFW: Did you have a favorite NFL team growing up or a favorite player?

Rolle: I was always a Cowboys fan growing up. :smashfrea

PFW: How many of the old guys from Miami do you still keep in touch with?

Rolle: Pretty much all of them. They all come back to Miami. Today I was down on campus playing basketball, and it was myself, Edge (Edgerrin James), Santana (Moss), Andre Johnson, Bubba Franks, Clinton Portis, Ed Reed, some others. They’re all there at the school. We all work out together, play basketball together and just talk. It’s amazing, the camaraderie we have.

PFW: Hope you guys tape your ankles up good and tight. That’s an expensive pickup game right there.

Rolle: It is. Exactly.

I'm not a contract expert, but I'm pretty sure that some, if not most, contracts have stipulations about playing basketball (Aaron Boone, your orthopedist is on line one) during the offseason.. Funny side note on that, about 10 years ago I was producing a story on John Smoltz during the baseball season at his baseball camp and he let us film him playing pickup basketball with one of his buddies but he asked us to not use the footage of him dunking because that could void his contract.. If a pitcher had a clause like that, what do you think NFL players have in their deals?

hey probably have tons of things excluded in their contracts. Everything from any type of non-football related workouts to riding motorcycles and such. All baseball players have these. The players basically ignore them because they insure themselves against both injuries in football and out. I mean these guys are competitive pro athletes..asking them to not play a pickup game of BBall against a bunch of friends sounds great on paper but they'll never really listen.

I think the "cowboy fan" is just as disturbing honestly.

I don't like him already, cowgirl lovers don't make good skins.

I'm sure there are clauses preventing many players from doing certain things, though from memory didn't Randy Moss play a handful of game in the USBL a few years back during the offseason, as did T.O?
Also some players like Tony Gonzalez, Antonio Gates, etc come from a basketball background and it would be VERY hard to stop them from playing pickup game during the offseason.
Of course the risks are there and of course Jay Williams is a perfect example fo what COULD happen.

Im not worried he was a Cowboys fan. LaVar took 56 for Hollywood Henderson not L.T. and he doesn't seem to let up vs. them (see career ending hit on number 8).

Didn't Shawn Springs' father play for the Cowboys? I think he grew up a Dallas fan. Anyways, you know what team he plays for now.

even if the skins did decide to draft a cb with their first pick, would it be rolle or do you guys think it would be pac-man ?
