There was still a good chance if the seahawks trading him before releasing him. So there you go. Ha! It was reported by NFL.com that he was cut early today, around noon or even earlier. Some reports had him being cut at 8 or 9 am. They wouldnt announce they are cutting him this morning if they thought they could trade him near the deadline. From what I read, he got a 500k signing bonus, and has another 500k guaranteed unless he plays somewhere else. I personally think he knew he wouldnt be able to sign for anything other than the vet minimum and figured the 500k for not playing was better than only getting an additional 300-400k above that if he does play.
