mooby 03-14-2005, 12:29 AM definitely taylor. kellen winslow can kiss my ass. we don't need a superstar at tight end,(not saying he is one), but chris cooley is like a perfect fit. he had a good season last year, elevated himself to starting h-back. there is better but cooley is a solid fit, and sean taylor could be the next ed reed. sean taylor is gonna be our starting free safety for years to come, while kw still has to prove himself.
That Guy 03-14-2005, 12:30 AM Not to provoke any more of a discussion than this warrants BUT selling seats doesn't translate into wins.
nfl is a business... businesses have owners... owners like profits... winning helps profits, but so do exciting offseasons and overly athletic players... money is money.
monk81 03-14-2005, 07:54 PM I wanted Taylor because I felt he could have more of an immediate impact. I thought with Portis, Coles, Gardner, McCants, Morton, Jacobs, Thrash there's just no room on that offense for KW II, and with those players our offense would be so potent anyway...guess I was wrong about the offense being potent.
Me Too.........I thought our offense would be explosive, and our defense would suck........well live and learn.............
OK....mooby, but at least I not trying to send hidden message about who is overatted or not, there's not lb that we have that can match Ray Lewis, game....and I love the Redskins...but I want have any taking cheap shots just because they have a crooked opinion.......whatever you want to call me.......be my guest...
wolfeskins 03-14-2005, 08:24 PM [QUOTE=wewhite3]wolfeskin.......would you be talking about us black folks, i mean how dare we glot over m. vick and ray lewis, and all the other colored folks out there playing sports....I so sorri suh....didn't mean to affend ya...........go to hell wolfeskin.....there no other qb in league, that brings money to there home stadium like Mike Vick, and name me how many lb that play for the redskins that been to more pro bowls, than Ray Lewis.....back of redneck
i hope like hell your just joking around. don't even try to start the black and white shit. this has nothing to do with race, i like vick, he and i come from the same area, i've watched him play a thousand times but people act like he is so great , when he really is not. i'd rather have mcnabb, manning, brady or culpepper over vick simply because their better qbs. as far as ray lewis being voted to probowls, who gives a f**k. trotter was picked this year over peirce and peirce had the , much, better season.
i wrote this as soon as i read your post so if you wrote a follow up post saying you were joking around than disregard this post but if you were being serious than you can lick my balls.
wolfeskins 03-14-2005, 08:48 PM too matty and all the other moderaters of the warpath, i apoligize for the thread turning into a racist thread but i did not ask for it. you all have read all my posts since i joined this sight and i have NEVER written anything even remotely close to a racist comment. i don't understand why Wewhite3 wrote what he did about me and my post but i had to respond to it. i couldn't let someone make an accusation like that about me and not defend myself.
skinsfanthru&thru 03-15-2005, 12:40 AM good lord it's like we have a little soap opera springing up on the Warpath. Hopefully civil minds will prevail in this now and we can get back to why we are on this forum.
monk81: I agree and think a lot of us had similar thoughts this past year cuz there seemed now way for Willaims to make the defense as good as it was and I was one of the people strong in the belief that he would severly help the defense. I just honestly never thought he'd help it this much as did the additions of Griffin and Springs. All last offseason most people here seemed to be screaming for more defensive help in the draft, which we did, and now it's starting to happen again yet our offense is still our main weakness carrying over from last year with solid arguments that it be considered even weaker now. Hopefully we can find a solid, mature player who can impact the offense as much as Taylor's selection last year impacted the defense.
From now on any thread that gets into discussions of race will be promptly locked, so don't even bother going there, these discussions go nowhere fast. If I see the same people starting up these discussions you'll be booted.
BrudLee 03-15-2005, 10:29 AM One thing that's important to remember is that, for the most part, I have no idea what color any of you are, nor you me. This may not be Dr. King's ideal color blind society, but the internet is as close as we can get right now.
By and large, though I'm sure my race has played a role in my life, it has little to do with my passion for this team. So until I change my handle to "WhiteBoy76", consider me a Redskins fan and a human being.
