He didn't bust his ass to sit out against the Eagles. Silly notion.

RG3 hates the preseason and is sending the wrong message to his team according to Dukes.

Did we not spend the entire offseason listening to these talking heads blast the team for playing RG3 when he was hurt, not caring about the player, etc.? Now the team is taking it's time with their star player and trying to take the safer route and it's F them for trying to be smart.

So what happens if he gets off to a bad start?

Tom Brady played in the pre season after he tore up his knee, and he was far more accomplished than RG3. Get him out there, let him get some game speed reps, knock some rust off and get him out.

Brady also tore his ACL in the very first game of the season, giving him an extra 4 months of rehab before the next preseason. Imo, its good that he is getting the extra month to let the knee get stronger. No reason to risk some second or third stringer from another team trying to make a name for himself do something stupid like diving into his knee to make a tackle.

That's true and a good point.

Could you imagine the uproar if he got injured again in a preseason game?

Given that his expected recovery time was 7-9 months, I just don't see any benefit to playing him in a meaningless game. What does he really have to gain by playing a series or two?

All we should be worried about is him being ready for the Eagles. That's it.

Right...a series or two is entirely useless. Unless they can get him enough reps to matter then there is no point. The speed of the game isn't going to be a problem for him. He's faster than everyone anyways. Plus we'll for sure not be running our eal offense so there isn't a good argument to be made to play him.

All I know is I am so ready for a good QB controversy. It's not the Skins without one.

Light'em up Captain Kirk!!!

On a stroll down memory lane, isn't this what the Heath Shuler/Gus Frerotte draft was SUPPOSED to be, a sure fire #1 talent, and a 2nd string worthy of being first. It's like the Skins finally came out of the qb dive that was started in that draft many many year ago.

I absolutely believe the bolded part is true. Everything about Griffin's play seems like he is seeing the field in slow motion. That's one reason I don't believe the talk about read progressions. Maybe it's true, and obviously every qb needs to work on that part of the game all the time, but my gut feeling is that Griffin scans the field far better than even most of his supporters give him credit for.
