Wow. Talk about no respect. Our backfield of Morris, Young & Helu rated as 19th in the league.

Ray Rice-Bernard Pierce duo headlines list of NFL's best backfields | Audibles - SI.com (http://nfl.si.com/2013/08/28/best-nfl-backfields-adrian-peterson-ray-rice/?sct=nfl_t12_a1)

Totally ridiculous.

Anyone remember Aaron Curry? Was supposed to be the for sure great linebacker... Retired at 27.

Looks like Rolling Stone is trying to sell magazines again...

First how are you almost cut when just got an extension, second Urban Meyer would not cover up a drive by shooting, just how ridiculous is that statement. I know Urban Meyer is a first class POS, but covering up a drive by? No.

Hernandez was a heavy user of angel dust? what? are they failed drug test or any evidence at all? And why angel dust, I mean ive know some people with substance abuse problems and they got help and got better. But ive never known anyone who said angel dust was their drug of choice. I could be believe maybe Hernandez experiemented, but a heavy user or addict to that? No way.

Rolling Stone needs to focus on music, they are really on a losing roll imo.

Idk, doesn't seem that hard to believe to me. If he knew how to get past the drug testing who's to know exactly what he was doing. PCP does seem like an oddly specific drug to mention, but I'll wait until I read the whole article to know how they reached that conclusion.

And as far as the whole "close to being cut" argument goes, well I can remember at least one player who was recently here who got a huge extension and was traded the following offseason. It's not unreasonable to believe they gave him the extension thinking he'd earn it as long as he stayed out of major trouble, but looking at what happened I think once they found out the seriousness of the charges it was pretty easy to cut him.

And as far as the Urban Meyer thing goes, it could've been pretty easy for him to make the decision to help cover it up if he didn't know all the details, or if he thought Hernandez's involvement was minimal. We hear articles every day about major NCAA programs violating rules and covering things up, and I have little doubt that at a major program like Florida taking care of the football team is of pretty high priority, because that's probably the breadwinner for the entire program.

I'm not going to call him guilty now but with everything we know it's not hard to see these points as conceivable given the circumstances.

Yeah, I remember the so-called "safest pick in the draft." Surely he'll find some way to put to use the 34 million guaranteed he earned in the NFL.

Totally ridiculous.

Speaking of no respect and totally ridiculous, I liked this statement by Revis about Richard Sherman: Darrelle Revis to Richard Sherman: Show some respect - NFL.com (http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap1000000235114/article/darrelle-revis-to-richard-sherman-show-some-respect).

Revis has to come back healthy to show he's still the best cover man, but that aside, I complete agree that the guys in the league who show little respect for those who came before them (nod to Darrell Green here) need to STFU. I am with Revis on this one.

Love this quote from that article:

As you read this, Sherman is staring in his bathroom mirror, rehearsing his response. Skip Bayless is walking in circles, rambling incoherently.(So, what else is new? :))
