I read GTripp to say that the floor of the poll should be 4 wins, not 8.

Monkeydad 07-11-2013, 10:35 AM And people say you're not objective. Well after 17 years of suckage, it has to sink in eventually. sandtrapjack 07-11-2013, 10:56 AM Why do you say that? G-Men have hung their hat on a very good defensive front 7 that was able to get pressure up front without the blitz. But I look at the transactions and players in those positions now and it is just a different group. Umenyiora - Gone Canty - Gone Boley - Gone They were able to keep Kiwanuka but their best pass rusher, JPP, may or may not be ready for camp and may even start the season on the PUP due to back surgery he had in June. They added Dan Conner, but that is nothing to shout about. It should tell you something that Conner was signed as a FA last season and was released after only one season and could not get into the rotation. And still no long term answer at the Safety position. Of the 6 OGs, only 2 players have greater than 2 years experience (Snee & Boothe). Of the remaining 4, only 1 player has 2 years experience. One of Eli's best targets of 2012 (Bennet) left for Chicago. So, to me, anyway, they will look different on both sides of the ball. Bright spot is, of course, the coaching and they are always capable of winning. skinsfaninok 07-11-2013, 11:05 AM I agree with st, thats y i think dallas finishes ahead of ny Lotus 07-11-2013, 11:48 AM G-Men have hung their hat on a very good defensive front 7 that was able to get pressure up front without the blitz. I hope that you turn out to be correct. irish 07-11-2013, 12:25 PM 9-7 RGIII's knee concerns me as does his durability and this team isnt the same without him. Krusheasy 07-11-2013, 05:13 PM Skins 9 - 7 Boys 8 -8 Gmen 7 - 9 Iggles 6 - 10 SirLK26 07-11-2013, 05:28 PM Why do people seem to think the Redskins will take a step back this year? I just don't see us having a worse record; several key players are back from injury, we have a rookie class with lots of potential, RG3 and Morris have NFL experience... The only possibly negative things I can think of are: 1. A tougher schedule, but I don't think that will be a problem. It will just make us a better team for the playoffs. 2. Teams now have a full season of tape on our offense. Again, not much of a problem. Shanahan has said the playbook will evolve. 3. RG3's knee. He'll know how to protect himself better now, and even if he does get hurt, Cousins proved last season he can lead the team. Just because we've been hearing great things about RG3s knee, doesn't mean know there won't be any setbacks or it'll affect his playing style. Also the NFC East is still a tough division so anything can happen. NFC East teams just don't repeat that easily. Also a lot of people are stuck with the old redskin teams in mind (2000's) that would do good or go to the playoffs then the next year they'd be in the bottom of the league again. Also our secondary sucked last year. We got some good (potentially) rookies, but at the end of the day, they are rookies. skinsfaninok 07-11-2013, 05:55 PM Making the Leap, No. 36: Redskins DE Jarvis Jenkins - NFL.com (http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap1000000215423/article/making-the-leap-no-36-redskins-de-jarvis-jenkins) |
