25 percent of respondents aren't aware of all the charity done in the name of Christianity?
hrm... that tells me more about the respondents than the Christians :)
the gay marriage debate is full of disingenuous arguments (from both sides, as usual)... so many I pretty much stay out of the conversation these days.
It's a pretty good day for the LGBT community eh?

103 page opinion or something like that, dissents included.
I havent read the majority opinion yet but i think the headlines are misleading.
to my understanding (havent read opinion yet), this case law holds that all states must recognize out-of-state same sex marriages.
this case does not mean a same sex couple can get married in Texas tomorrow.
This case means Texas has to recognize and treat equal a same sex couple who got married, say, new hampshire or NY or DC etc .....
I imagine a same sex couple can apply for a license in Texas, get denied then bring suit which may force the SCOTUS to overturn any state law prohibitnig the marriage.

When it comes down to it, these dividing social issues are generally silly. We lose focus arguing things that are important to a smaller segment of the population. No cops shouldn't be killing minorities, no the confederate flag shouldn't be flag over a state capital, of course people should be able to marry who ever in a free society...this shit is really easy.
Looking outside our borders, our world is the most unstable since world war 2...but the typical dipshit walking down the street is completely fine with it.
Fuck the confederate flag we open genicide in the Middle East, a re emerging Russia, a stagnate world economy, threat of nuclear weapons in Iran, etc.

So does this mean that states with gun bans have to respect concealed carry and even open carry of firearms of people from states that allow it?
BTW, as a Christian I'm OK-ish with the federal government saying same sex and normal marriage are the same. Not crazy about it, but we should be a land of tolerance. Just hope this doesn't get extrapolated into churches being persecuted for not catering to gay relationships their faith in the bible proscribes against. If some congregations are OK with it... their choice, just don't mandate everyone's religious beliefs at church. Agreed that a christian in a public sector job has to toe the federal gov line at that job, because that's the job they chose to take.
