I think Rex is on the team more as a mentor for our young QB's. I would expect him to be on the team for at least one more year.

As crazy as it is, I'm still hoping we do some crazy stuff with White -- like quadruple option, with RG3 + Morris, and then have White in Brandon Bank's role (with end-around or with a WR screen pass) -- but now with White having the capability to pass if the play falls apart.

With this in mind, wouldn't mind scrapping Rexy to keep White.

Neither one of these guys should be on a NFL 53- man roster.

One has started a SB the other has started...what exactly?

A lawsuit against the NFL, perhaps?

A discussion among Redskins fans about whether or not he should even be on a roster, perhaps?

No, I actually like the guy, but I doubt he makes it.

If White doesn't have a snowballs chance in hell of even being the #3 quarterback behind Griffin III and Cousins, why bring him in? Just to keep him off of the Giants practice squad or the Giants roster wouldn't seem like a good enough reason. White has to have some sort of worth.
His value is a camp arm. I believe we have had 4 qb's every training camp, and with Griffin out during off season, you still wouldn't want only two guys doing all the reps.

Grossman is an adequate #2 QB. Pat White is a retread bum. It's no contest.

Rex certainly has that tendency to make bad decisions with the ball but everyone forgets those games when he turns into "Good Rex", where he avoids the turnovers and goes 19-30 for 290 yards and two TDs.

He's fine in a role where he can come in relief of an injured QB. He's a disaster in a role when he has a starting job for a sustained period of time, because defenses get tape on him and take advantage of his tendencies. But as a spot starter you could do a lot worse.

The good news is we can even do better than Rex as our #2. Cousins might even be a starting caliber QB right now in this league. We have a nice problem - we have multiple quality backup QBs. Let's not overthink it by even considering Pat White a possibility.

Yep. Remember when we signed Marc Verica for camp? He had no chance to make the roster as a QB. But in camp you want receivers to catch a lot of passes...and someone has to be throwing them.

they could flip a coin for all I care, if we end up needing either one of them the odds are pretty high our season is in the toilet

White is a camp arm....Rex knows the Shanny playbook better than anyother player on the team.

Some might see value in White because we are running the read option game, but he ran some wild cat in Miami and found out fast that this aint West Virginia and his athleticism isn't as much at this level. Plus he isn't RGIII he doesn't have the arm, accuracy, smarts, or speed. RGIII has world class speed and even he cant out run everyone and got hit a lot. White already has had injury trouble.

Our QB's will be RGIII Captain Kirk and Sexy Rexy
