I agree with you, Matty. But I'm going to be a realist here.

What if RG3 re-injures his knee and his season is over? What if he never gets back to full speed? What if Kirk Cousins takes over the offense, but flames out? What if defenses, armed with film from last year, completely shut down our offense? What if Alfred Morris proves to be one and done? What if Fred Davis has lost it?

What if none of the rookie DBs pan out? What if Fletcher's tank runs out of gas? What if Orakpo is injured again? What if Meriweather isn't the game changer we're all hoping he'll be? etc., etc.

I'd call that being a pessimist.

You can play the what if game all day long, in either direction. Not much reality there.

Here's an interesting article: Are the Redskins Super Bowl contenders? | Comcast SportsNet Washington (http://www.csnwashington.com/football-washington-redskins/talk/are-redskins-super-bowl-contenders)

Tandler and El-Bashir debate whether or not the Redskins are Super Bowl contenders. I'm agreeing with Tandler here. Yes, the Redskins are contenders.

I think the Redskins are fringe SB contenders.. It will depend on health and matchups in the playoffs. I think they are the favorites to win the East and should win 10 games or so. From there, if they get a home game against a dome team vs. Atlanta or New Orleans that will help in the divisional round. If they get a tough draw like having to go to Seattle or GB, that'll make it tougher.

All roads go thru SF from how I see it, it would be nice for them to get knocked off in the divisional round.

IMO we are a Super Bowl contender. I've been watching the 49ers and Falcons more closely than usual this offseason for this reason. I see them as "the competition." I've gotta say, such beats the heck out of situations where "the competition" was for 3rd place in the NFCE.

2013 NFL Rookies Who Already Look Like Draft-Day Steals | Bleacher Report (http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1685096-nfl-rookies-who-already-look-like-draft-day-steals/page/3)

According to Mike Jones of The Washington Post, Rambo was everything the coaches hoped he would be in minicamp. However, the real test for Rambo will be in regards to how he stays out of trouble over the long-term.

If Rambo does manage to stay available and away from suspensions, the Redskins may have landed one of the top steals of the draft.

RG3 is a legitimate top 10 QB and when u have a top 10 Qb, you will always be in contention. Get used to it folks, we aren't going anywhere for a long time.

That won't be hard. :woot: BUT...that top 10 quarterback has to be on the field, so RG3 needs to learn how to protect himself better so he can work his magic. Of course, I guess we could keep Cousins his whole career as a backup...

He looks borderline like Bane from Dark Knight Rises, in terms of build. Jesus. I wonder how much more powerful his arm strength will be.

Hopefully they keep HGH testing out of the league before III heals. It has me concerned folks. We talk about his recovery going as well as AP, and well there were rumblings of how he made his comeback so quick. But of course it may be due to Andrews new method of bone stem cells being used at the point of the repaired ligaments in the knees.

Who knows but III is bigger and it is either due to his work ethic, need to be bigger in the league, use of legal NFL supplements or ......
