So he wants to come back and play safety, now let it be known that I want Sean Taylor badly, but could Crouch, if he's any good, come in and work with Williams and the gang.

Then trade down and see who we get.

I know it may sound stupid, but what are y'alls comments?

He's more of a project, I would have to imagine. Taylor knows the position and could make an imitate impact. I highly doubt couch could even play saftey until at least a year of learning it.

I wouldn't want anyone who can't decide if they want to play. I'd remove my own head with a rusty Dallas Cowboys license plate surround for the opportunity.

Well he's property of the Packers, http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/columns/story?columnist=pasquarelli_len&id=1757031, so we'd have to trade for him and I don't think he's worth it quite honestly

The entire reason for the Crouch interest is that three years ago, he was a stellar athlete. We're willing to excoriate a player like Maurice Clarett for spending a year out of football and trying to come back like nothing's changed, and he isn't trying to switch positions.

I agree he's a project, and a big one at that.

There's no way he would beat out Iffy or Bowen anyway.

I agree Matty. On top of that he may come back and change his mind again after a practice or two. I thin he's realizing how much he's screwed up and is looking at trying to make some bucks on whatever a team will let him do. I wouldn't waste the time or effort on him.
