New Survey Suggests Science & Religion Are Compatible, But Scientists Have Their Doubts - WorldWide Religious News (http://wwrn.org/articles/41988/?&place=north-america) New Survey Suggests Science & Religion Are Compatible, But Scientists Have Their Doubts David Freeman ("The Huffington Post," March 17, 2014) Are science and religion incompatible? That seems like a rational conclusion, especially in the wake of last month's combative evolution-vs.-creationism debate, which pitted "Science Guy" Bill Nye against evangelist Ken Ham. But a new survey of more than 10,000 Americans (including scientists and evangelical Protestants) suggests that there may be more common ground between science and religion than is commonly believed RedskinRat 03-23-2014, 09:52 PM No, there is no common ground between the supernatural and the natural world. NC_Skins 03-23-2014, 10:19 PM Some good news for everyone . New Survey Suggests Science & Religion Are Compatible, But Scientists Have Their Doubts - WorldWide Religious News (http://wwrn.org/articles/41988/?&place=north-america) Problem with this is that science is dictated by facts and evidence while religion is dictated by faith alone. Religion doesn't care about facts. IF science disproves the Bible....STILL BELIEVE. On the other hand, if science disproves a theory and backs it up with facts, science changes. Science is ever changing and growing, religion is static. This is why the two cannot be compatible. I think (or at least hope to think) that we can all agree that the cost of healthcare was unreasonably high and unattainable for a specific segment of people - people who make more than the poverty line (i think approx 16k per person) but dont make enough to afford healthcare. a lot of people seem to forget that people who are unemployed or on welfare already qualified for medicaid and got health coverage for free before obamacare. obamacare helps make healthcare affordable for people who work. the problem with obamacare was that 1 -certain red states intentionally did a poor job of promoting obamacare and providing info (were ind states responsible for launching their own "marketplace" website) and 2 - young 20 somethings who they thought would be heavy enrolles are actually also lazy and lais sez faire when it comes to getting up off their collective asses to actually do something responsible and forward thinking. fact is politicians on both sides sat on their hands for decades and never wanted to poke the lobbying bear that is the trillion dollar healthcare industry to get their act together and stop bilking regular americans for runaway charges and expenses.
